Younis Khan has been declared as the 'Vice Captain' of Pakistan Cricket Team for the tour of India!!!
Younis is much more experienced and can handle pressure too, so, he will be helpful to Shoaib Malik(C) during the tour of India! Asif is going to miss atleast first 3 ODIs due to his elbow injury! However, the good thing is Shoaib Akhtar is in the team , and is a match winner for Pakistan for sure!!! So, Good Luck Team!

Why have a senior player as Vice-Captain?
Why not choose someone from the younger lot. Someone who is captaincy material and can be groomed.
No one likes to be under his junior player. If you critically observe it, you will get to know that our team is not united under the captaincy of Shoaib. No matter what, a senior player should be the captain, because he deserves it first! I ask you, would you like to sit at the back seat of the car if you were older than the person sitting by the driving seat??? Most probably not! So, I think I am pretty much clear!

Your point is valid, but the example quoted was a little inappropriate I guess. Its a very mild example and the point you are making is quite strong here.

You are right. However, it depends on the competency of the individual.
Any way, we all know Shoaib, is a compromise.
