For what crime ?

For what crime ?

Just received this cartoon in an e-mail and it got me to think what the future holds for this nation.

We have all sorts of crisis and nothing is satisfactory. Wheat, water, electricity, gas, petrol .... and the list goes on. You the name the necessity and Pakistan is definitely in the crisis list.

The question is For What Crime Are We Suffering ?
Is it because we're Pakistanis OR is it because we're Muslims OR is it because we have made wrong choices. I personally think (and I guess most of you would agree) that we are in this crisis situtaion bacause of the wrong choices we have made throughout the short span we have had as an independent nation.

We have chosen the wrong people to get us out of the mess and they have proven themselves to be the ones responsible for even more agony for the common man. What then, what has changed. Have we ever tried to make a different choice ? Isn't Nawaz and Zardari the same names we have heard time n again and each time they have disappointed us by filling up their personal foreign bank accounts.

So what is the hope then this time. For how long will a common man keep asking the same question; FOR WHAT CRIME ??

TAIMUR   .

Pakistan was created with the slogan "Pakistan ka Matlab kya ....La illah ILALLAH and we can not accept islamic laws Shariyat in Pakistan .Although many would disagree that its not the reason why we are suffering today but in my personal opinion that could be one of the reasons i can think of .

TAIMUR   .

SAME QUESTION OF COMMON MAN FOR WHAT CRIME.

There are some more questions which arise .

  1.        What type of system do we want in Pakistan a westernised one or the islamic laws enforced we have to take a decision we can not keep one leg in one boat and the other one in the other both there is no middle way out of this.
  2. If we choose religious parties and give them an oppurtunity to rule the country and enforce islamic laws start interest free banking, government ordering women to wear hijab, chopping of hands for stealing ,forcing rich to pay zakat and drinking punishments  will that be a solution.
  3. The situation we are facing nowadays is due to policies of government and was earthquake a punishment for us which destroyed two cities.

FIRST EVERYMAN HAS TO ASK THESE QUESTIONS TO HIMSELF AND EVERYONE AND DECIDE WHATS THE WAY FORWARD.

PS .That all is my personal opinion and i am using my freedom of speech rights given by constitution of Pakistan.

Question 1 and 2 genuinely merit a reply. I shall write an answer soon.

Ripley's Believe it or Not: This time it was Taimur's questions I was talking about. :)

Apologies to Razorfish.

Religion doesn't hold a nation together. Else East Pakistan would still have been part of Pakistan. Disintegration will happen because of....you all know who.

"The question is For What Crime Are We Suffering ?"

Answer: Lack of self respect, unwillingness to die for freedom

TAIMUR   .

I think you should add one  more thing to it love of this world more then the hereafter and corrupt institutions and lack of honesty and a race of want for more money.
