what happened to Ramchand eventually?? was he released from indian jail??? uh oh ..wrong question....was he released alive????

According to a report at BBC website there were total of 7500 prisoners who died in Indian prisons in last years. This was the highest number in the world. My understanding is that only a few of them (less then 5) were Pakistanis. The number must be quite high for Pakistani prisons as well.
Pointing figures at each other will not help. To create awareness, educate and promote peace within the neighborhood is what we all must focus at.

I think Ramchand Pakistani is a wonderful effort – hopefully it will help educate people and make lives of Pakistani prisoners in India and Indian prisoners in Pakistan easier.

This is the type of work for generating a positive image of our country in the world.

less than 5????? babar u really need to check these statistics again.....in the last 5 months we have received FOUR 4 dead bodies

Khalid Mehmood____died on 12th Feb 2008, body returned in March(few days after we released KaSHMIR sINGH, aconvicted spy

Muhammad Akram____May,2008,(according to his postmortem report, the heart, kidneys, lungs, liver and intestines were taken out from his body, which made it difficult to find out the cause of his death)

Abul Aleem, 25 and Rashida Bibi, 55______June 13,2008

n counting........i m not mad at Indian govt, i was hardly xpecting anything else...i m just appalled at the negotiating skills of our govt....exchanging alive prisoners for dead...

"Exchange alive prisoners for dead"

Doesn't that show a moral superiority over Indians? This is something that makes Pakistanis better then Indians. We have better prison system then that of India’s.

oh Great! dint thought on those lines....

pata nahin kyun per some of our own prisoners end up dying in our own prisons instead of being released like these lucky Indians.....inferior health system, surely ;p

The movie I am sure will raise a lot such issues. I don’t have much information myself but my father has written some books on Pakistani prison system. This was some 10 years ago so I am not sure if he is updated on the topic. I know that all such stats were covered in his publications.
