Ur name can now be ur mobile number !
submitted 8 months 2 days 16 hours ago by: amersarfraz : 5 commentsUfone comes out with another offer to attract more customers. The marketing line says "Now Ur Name is Ur Number".
Well, catchy as it may sound, the offer is not all that great as it seems though. Having read the line I was thinking it to be more appealing, something even without the initial code (0333, 0334 etc.). Getting a number like 0334-amer777 would be very inconvenient as it is.
On another note, I think they could do better with the same offer. The advertising could have been more appealing, only if the examples were more appropriate. For instance, the example should have been 033faisalkhan, which would have translated into 0333247255426. The numbers would have increased by 2 digits, but who cares, call would connect anyway when someone dials 03332472554.
Would have atleast conveyed the message in a more appropriate way.
Your thoughts...?

I am a Mobilink user and am mostly satisfied with its service. Have never tried any other operator, so can't really compare.
Warid, another cellular company is struggling with it's management. Don't know much about the service but the company itself is not in good shape. I have heard the rates are good though.
Telenor, a Norwegian player, has however been very successful in establishing its brand locally and in avery short span. From all Telenor users, I have heard that the service quality is great and by far the best in Pakistan and I believe they are charging a premium for that also. General understanding is that it's rates are a bit higher in comparison to the other carriers.
You can log on to their websites and compare the tarifs to see which one suits you best.
