The Government of Pakistan’s official website lists the composition of our government, with a total of 41 ministries, 46 divisions and 267 additional departments. In total, there are 354 government concerns that are running the affairs of the state in a manner that does not need any explanation.

For effective management and result-oriented people-centric governance, there is a need to re-evaluate and integrate ministries, divisions and departments in order to avoid duplication of jobs. In the process, the state’s running overheads would be reduced. Fewer, more efficient, ministries will also bring down unnecessary state expenditure.
