Arggh….this is the second time I am typing this out as my connection got reset…annoying (if that was Q = most annoying thing, well..there u have it..lol)…
Ok, here goes…
1) Blood Diamond – it is v.real in this part of the world…something one can get into and appreciate as it can be related to…
2) From My Sisters’ Lips by Naima Roberts as it talks of the motivations and challenges that young muslim reverts across the class boards have to face and how they go about it in the western world…it is really moving journey…brilliant read!
3) Naima Roberts…see above
4) www.harunyahya.com as it has a vast range of articles, presentations, movies and audio books regarding almost every sphere thinkable from an Islamic perspective…it appeals to the logic…
5) Um…saudia Arabia? Dubai? Has all the modern technology and infrastructure yet it is still (in some parts) firmly guided by an Islamic lifestyle…or iraq and other famished nations on the other parallel as it would be humbling, make one really appreciate what they have and reach out to others less fortunate…um, over the limit…next…
6) Have to get back to u on this one…
7) Marriage – as it is the most intimate relationship ever in all aspects…a spouse is a trustee too..it also encompasses other relationships such as friendship, mother-son/father-daughter –like relations when the spouse needs to be cared for or is ‘out of sorts’ or being playful…ultimately though, I believe all relationships which reciprocate value (not necessarily monetary!) are important…
8) My cat ;p meow! Actually many natural habitat and surroundings…safari, bonsai plants, mountains, waterfalls, rain forests (have them in Victoria Falls)…etc…
9) Nelson Mandela…he was disciplined, truly for the people and in touch with the people (as opposed to the ‘elitist’ leaders today), brought many great reforms to South Africa post-apartheid which are still bringing benefit to the region…

frank speaking i didnt seriously think abt this perspective. but at this time, wht i m gettig in my mind is our HOLY PROPHIT (PBUH) as he guided whole muslim community.(i think that if i seriousely think abt then get the same answer)

its Umaira Ahmad, and she used to writes in digests, Novelz and Tv dramas as well....

Though Men are not supposed to read ladies digests but I did a few times.
Samrah bukhari is a better writer who writes things near to real life....
All other writers do narrate 6 feet handsome and well established boys...i dont think in the population of 160000000 you can find 6 feet , handsome and well established men more then 0.005% . I think All of them(.005%) are in women digests....:)

Ans. My favorite movie ummm they keep on changing and i like all good indian and hollywood movies and some pakistani old and new movies too.Can't name any one.

Ans. I don't read many books but anybook which gives me good knowledge i like it can't name one .

Ans. I think i would recommend Muree hills because going there is cheaper and most people can for visiting and touring and also its a beautiful place.

OK, here it is.
1. Favourite Movie
Many but here are 4 out of the lot. "When Harry Met Sally", "Scent of a Woman", "The Untouchables" and "Mirza Ghalib". First one was a beautiful romantic comedy, was very natural and close to real life. Second one because the idea put forward of keeping the honour and enjoying life to the fullest was something everyone should have and value. Third one, because the script was very strong, cast and acting was superb and I loved the action in the movie. The fourth one, although a drama, in Urdu was a classic. I am just in love with Ghalib and the movie (drama) made me fall in love with the Khaalis Shusta (Pure) Urdu. It;s too good.
2) Favourite Book
Every single one was a good read, but none I found to be exceptional to call it my favourite that I won't mind reading again.
3) Favourite Author
Different at different times, started with Enid Blyton, then Sydney Sheldon, Jeffry Archer, John Grisham, Dan Brown and the latest that I liked reading was Paulo Cohelo. Mustansir Hussain Tarrar was there in between also. I found them all to be good, except for may be John Grisham who seemed monotonous in his choice of subjects after a few novels (LAW). I did loose interest in Dan Brown after a while also.
4) AdAge.com. This website is all about the world of marketing and advertsising and has a daily update of several interesting pieces of articles from around the world.
5) Place for tourism
St. Petersburgh (Russia). Its heaven for the lovers of art, culture and architecture.
6) Favourite Song/ Verse
Rahiyay ab aisee jagah chul kar jahan koi na ho,
Hum sukhan koi na ho, hum nawa koi na ho.
Pudiyay gar beemar tu koi na ho teemardaar,
Aur agar mar jaeeyay, tu noha khwaan koi naa ho.

7) Best Relationship
True Friendship (mostly from school) and of a mother towards her child, as the only two selfless relationships in the world.
8) Which thing of nature keeps you in awe for hours?
Nature itself.
9) Favourite Leader
Muhammad (PBUH) for he conquered all without a fight and Quaid-e-azam (may be because of all the stories I have heard and read about him of his relentless struggle).
10) Where are you headed ?
I am trying to find inner peace, but I guess I am finding it in the wrong place OR I just wish it to come my way on whatever way I am headed. To be honest, I am longing for it, but I don't have enough faith to pull myself out of this race of getting ahead in this false exhibition called world.

The search for peace will help you grow. That is your biggest strength. It is only ppl who see the loss who find something. Just be more focussed and do it bit by bit. You don't have to take a lunge. Just lil things would do. 'Small is beautiful'. :)
Plan your journey for each mile, set the time and pace yourself. With each mile undertaken, there will be a sense of acheivement, far larger than your anticipation. Take heart from that.

Ammm….many …..for now I can only remember "The Shawshank Redemption"….and of course "The English Patient…"

I love reading biographies, historical, religious and mystical books. So Jinnah of Pakistan by S. Wolpert, Bilal The First Muazzin, Mohammad by Martin Lings are some of my favourties.
Q3. Who is your favourite author and why?
Ghalib is my all time favourite. And also Faiz Ahmad Faiz.
And Freud for all the controversies his works initiated.

For spiritual reasons: Any time Makkah and Madina. For shopping: Dubai / Bangkok

Spiritual: Uth Fareed’a jaa jharo day maseet
To soota O jagda tairee daday naal pareet
(Meaning: Wake up Fareed, go and clean the masjid. You are alseep while your Beloved is awake, you are in a tough love game)
Why? Because it helps me get up for the morning prayer (at times).
Song: I love good music. So the list goes on with loads of English & Urdu songs. Its difficult to single out one.
In Urdu this ghazal by Jagjit singh is my all time favourite:
“Tum ko daikha to yeh khayal aaya,
Zindagee dhoop tum ghana saaya…”
In English “Bridge over troubled waters” by Simon & Garfunkel, “I would do anything for love” by Meatloaf “ My love” by Westlife. These days I am listening to “I wont go home without you” by Maroon 5.

I think any relationship in the world can be the best if its founded on true love. I mean if the relation between man and wife is based on love it’s the best if not it’s the worst. Similarly for other relations for instance between siblings if there is love there is nothing like it…otherwise there are many siblings who do not even meet eachother for months, even though they are living in the same city.....same goes for friendship if there is love then it would be the most ideal ...so love is the name of the game, after all :)
Q8. Which thing of nature keeps you in awe for hours?
When you come to think of it…Everything…! From stars and the moon to the mountains and the unfathomable seas and everything that lies between them.

Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
Mohammad Bin Qasim.
(Am inspired by the achievements and the character of both).
I don’t want to include our Prophet because then its not fair to others I think!

Iola – getting back to u on Q10…Hmm, well, to be brief I would say I am travelling a rocky but interesting terrain…(rocky, because it has challenges for which I am extremely grateful for, as they mould me – build up strength and character)…the end is not visible at present…but it promises more bittersweet challenges and if overcome, I will be able to bask in the gardens yonder…I yearn to taste the sweetness of such profound success…in all aspects of life…pls make dua that i achieve this...I shan’t elaborate on specific attainments as a thread…wonder if this is meaningful enough…?

Ans: Fav. movie vary from time to time but there is always one to which we stand that "best"
In Urdu: "Maan"(by Amir khan)--- It's a master piece of love story."Kal ho na ho"--- It is also good one."Vivaah"--- good in considering aspect of Romance."hera pheri" & "Phir hera pheri" a good comedy.
In Enlish: not much watched that is why i would have limited choice
Gladiator,Alexender, Blood Diamond, God Father,Vertigo and others i remember by script not by name.
