Here is an update on what has happened and what's happening in Pakistan.

State of emergency declared in Pakistan by Chief of Army Staff (President Perverz Musharraf.
Constituion of Pakistan has been suspended.
PCO has been issued by the Chief of Army Staff (President Pervez Musharraf).
All private channels have been told to be taken off air.
President of Bar Council Barrister Aetizaz Ahsan has been arrested.
Army has entered the Supreme Court of Pakistan and have told Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and other judges have been told that their services are no longer required.
Supreme court has over-ruled the emergency declaration.
PTA has ordered all mobile operators to suspend mobile communication.
President to address the nation tonight.

WELL............ Mr Amer ,

We could all see it comming......its nothing new....this country is under
an EMERGENCY ever since it was created...or shall i say it was created
in an emergency on the shoulders of JUST ONE MAN!.......

Its sad but true,but nations like ours earn such circumstances...its
HIGH time we stop blaming others and take account of our own guilt
ridden selves!!

Chief Justice has ordered all forces and government services not to follow orders of Chief of the Army Staff, General Pervez Musharrraf.
President Musharraf will address the nation at 11 pm tonight.

3 Judges of Supreme Court have taken oath under PCO
Benazir Bhutto has landed into Karachi and PPP supporters have flocked to Karachi Airport to receive their leader.
Chief Justice of Sindh High Court is removed from the position.
Chief Justice of Peshawar refused to take oath under PCO
Justice Mohammad Afzal Soomro has taken oath as the acting Chief Justice of Sindh High Court.
National and Provincial assemblies will remain as it is.
A 35 page document is under development for Media role/ operations/ working procedures in Pakistan. - There goes Freedom of Speech...!

I don't understand where 'respecting the decision of Supreme Court' has gone. Hasn't the supreme court annulled the PCO; then why are the agencies still implementing it? Do the agencies work for Musharraf or for Pakistan?

Why are only a few hundred people on the streets and why not millions.

Why is not the entire nation marching towards Musharraf's hideout in order to pull him out of there and holding him accountable? How many can they kill? certainly not the entire nation

In the end Musharraf can only pass an order and it is up to the agencies to either carry it out or not. These agencies, I am hoping are comprised of patriotic Pakistani's who will make the sacrifices that have now become incumbent upon them and resist this dictator.

If they are unwilling to do this, the masses need to form militias to oust the army by force
