Srilankan opener 'Jayasuriya' set to retire

The Srilankan opening batsman 'Sanath Jayasuriya' is set to announce his retirement at the end of the Kandy Test against England. In the last two-and-a-half years he has scored only 497 runs in 15 Tests at an average of 19.88 with one fifty. His average, at one point nudging 50, slipped under 40 with his failure in the first innings of this Test. However, Jayasuriya is now leading the attack in the second innings, and will end his career with an average of over 40. The other news is 'Muttiah Muralitharan removed Paul Collingwood in the first innings, to pick up his 709th Test wicket and has now become the world-record holder'. He has beaten 'The King of Spin, Shane Warne (with 708 wickets)'.
