Sophie's World - a must read!!

'Sophie’s World' by Jostein Gaarder, is a book about the history of philosophy. It is a truly remarkable piece of literature. Very engaging.
One can surely call it a ‘modern classic’. Gaarder has most beautifully amalgamated fact with fiction. It is amazing how he takes the reader on a journey of self exploration, starting by just posing a couple of philosophical questions. This book made me ‘think’ and, ‘think again’ about things that are always present in our surroundings but are overlooked and considered too trite to be noticed. As the author rightfully asserts that, “the only thing we require to be good philosophers is the faculty of wonder.”
I for one have been deeply inspired by all what ‘Sophie’s World’ has to offer, in terms of knowledge and logic, to say the least.
‘Sophie’s World’ is a masterpiece, enlightening you on ‘something’ about ‘everything’. I honestly feel everyone has to read this book at least once in their lifetime.
Mr. Gaarder, I’m a fan!
