How do you propose educating our youth about it. Just as these innocent minds are being taught about various body parts. In my opinion, there is more to sex education than just showing off naked bodies of men and women.

Everything looks OK at time. It something happens before time then it could be harmful. I assume you re an MBBS doctor. Pre-mautre case k saath kia hosakta hay, ye tu pata hogna na aap ko?
I totally agree with Adnan. There are bigger issues in Pakiskan that need to be addressed first. In a country where the true literacy rate is hovering at somewhere around 10%, how can we even think about promoting sex education. We need to start with exposing our children to the basic education first, only then can we think about introducing such levish issues, which are still in a pre-mature stage in Pakistan.
In short, we need to keep our focus right and not start following others in everything. They have evaluated their strengths and weaknesses well and we need to weigh our own and decide accordingly.

On a second thought, I would like to say that: As already our young generations are no more innocent, times have changed to 180 's angle. Today kids talk about things I still cant with my parents. Therefore, as already everything's well known,as far as their physical exposure is concerned, they should be having proper sexual orientation BUt BUT BUt in a way which is meant to make them fully aware in order to help them abstain from deseases and its drawbacks ; and not to make them feel comfortable about doing or talking about it.
Although still I foresee our coming generations doing everything what the current generations are doing in USA today.but still I hope our parental roots and religious values , if properly engraved in their minds, can help them hold on to their innocense.
Being parents, was never so risky...
I agree with Dr. Sb. There is a need to educate our youth about sex. It is the part of our religious education. It is taught in madrassas. I want to ask one question from people here: From where do our youth learn about sex? They are learning everything from western CDs not realizing whether it is right or wrong? Why shouldn't we teach them and tell them clearly that what is right (according to our religion) and what is wrong... Media is bombarding our minds with filth and evil ideas why should we not counter them??
We have to start everything in parallel. If India is doing so good in other fields we should follow that. We really can't wait for one thing to end and then the other to start. As Mr Ahmad Hassan has very rightly pointed out that the children are learning about sex from wrong sources. In a taboo cilural enviornment we cannot expect the parents to teach their children. Infact most of the parents are as ignorant as their own children. I am for sex education as a subject in our curriculam. Yes it is not only showing body parts to the kids, it involves educating them about sexual orientation, conterceptives etc. By the way I am not a medical doctor. I hold Ph.D in IT.

But I still do not like that gray spot on the pic. I am talking here about a serious subject of sex education and people consider it nudity. There is something wrong somewhere. Am I posting any pornography here ?. What can I say?

Sex is not merely a form of gratification, it plays a very important role in human interaction and sense of well being.
Science tells us that a healthy sex life leads to:
A positive outlook
Sense of well being
A better marriage
and the list goes on...
So not only should we be teaching the young about the genitalia but we should also incorporate the Kama Sutra in the curriculum
Why do we like to complicate everything? In the words of Al Neuharth:

There is no bar in our religion which prohibits us from teaching students/childern about sex education. It is healthy for any society. Kindly quote any Quranic Verse which prohibits parents or teachers from education the youth about this. I will be really interested to know.

I can see today muslims feel more need for sex education than education of the culture and islamic life style. Sex education is permitted in islam but there are ways to do it, if you start following india then your future will be the same as indians. If you think indians have culture and life today then you are wrong.
Never look at anything from outside feel the society from inside, India is moving forward for a american way of life. Which is going to give them nothing but a corrupted young generation. If pakistani parents can live with there daughters and sons dating each other , having sexual experiance before getting marriage , leaving there parents alone on there old age and WORST girls are not pure at the time of there marriage then i do welcome you start with the modern way of life.
Every action has a reaction and every action has its of own side effects. The more we start to strengthen our cultural and religious values our societ will be strong. If you start to think of moving with the new world then you should be ready for a dark future.
Americans wanted freedom and they earned it, No boudaries no borders no culture so they needed a government so poverful to control the human doings. And today they want peace and a religion but they are very far from it. And life became harder for them and they started doing anything for money. Watch vedios of Howard stren shows and some normal tv shows of america and you will understand what they are today.
And if someone thinks india is good then i suggest look deeply. Among muslim countries pakistan has a speacial place, i am a muslim and every person i know thinks great about pakistan. You are a strong and religious nation to dont think you are weaker or worst than india.
If you are thinking what is wrong with starting sex education and science education then please understand all education must be within islamic limits. Islam is not a boundary for us but it is a shield. If you adapt the indian sex education methods then by tommorrow you gonna see sex education happening live just like in india.

I would agree with Dr.Irfan Zaffer that sex education should be started in Pakistan but with the Islamic view point on everything taught so that students also know what is in islam about it.

OUt these what is NOT happening in Pakistan???? At this point of time, I am sitting in my Office in Lahore adjacent to a famous park in lahore. And out there what I see daily is nothing but a very depressive scenes. Young boys and girls doing everything shamelessly here in open. In parking lot of this park, I daily witness the performing art of "BAY-HOODGI" by so-called muslim youth in their cars.
How the hell are you saying keh we are far better than America or India?? We are proving ourselves worst than anyone..
I am sure sex education can make the difference and our children can learn what is right or what is wrong. At the moment they are at the mercy of waves of Media and are floating with the flow of it helplessly..

Media and there corruption is the main reason for this, As muslims we cannot just let this all happend. If someone else have the power to do this worst damage to muslim teenagers hearts then we do have the power to change that too. There is a desire for wrong things in every persons mind and who ever fights with it and wins is a true jihadist. So we must fight with the evil inside us and avoid all the wrong things that can happen.
And it is our duty to spread the best things. Just like some media can plant the haram inside a persons heart we can plant pureness too.
Hasan for what i know i have seen very pure pakistan boys and girls, so never look at the few people who do such wrong things. Look at the people who live by islam even when they have nothing.
Most wrong things behaviours are spread in islamic nations because of two things, MEDIA and INTERNET. People do and show anything they want just to earn money they do not worry about islamic culture being distroyed. So parents should be careful what there children are learning. If they start spending time for children more than they spend time for earning money then things would change.
If any parent is reading this then i kindly ask them to always be close to their children , and understand what they are doing and what they are upto with friends. Because you be responsible for what bad or good they do. And teach them to live with the true islamic way not the modern islamic way most people are practicing.
for a example
1. some girls in western countries think it is must to cover the head and hair but it is ok to show some parts of the body and it is ok to dress in a way that body shape can be seen
2. Some boys in western countries think that it is ok to goto a disco or night club if they are not drinking alcohol or they are not missing a prayer.
Please teach children islam before teaching sex education, and when someones heart is truly with inside islam then they will never do anything wrong. And teach them sex education through islam.

I think just as kids learn about the human body they should learn about sex education once older. It's only natural since we are human it's not like we don't see what body parts we have it's not right to not educate kids at the very least about protected sex just like telling them to cover their mouth with sneezing coughing etc to not spread germs and wash hands they should know about sex. I grew up in the UK and have used many london escorts and thought nothing of it.
