Server provider, Planet's data center catches fire.

Taxes based Data Center of The Planet, one of the major server providers in the US caught fire a day ago taking the virtual life of thousands of websites around the world, which also includes PKNIC, one of the two and older .pk TLD providers of Pakistan.

The news is that the taxes based Data Center, which is part of the 6 Data Centers operated by the company caught fire because of the fire in a transformer. The fire department asked the company to shut down all power and even the generator cutting life to the Data Center.

According to the company, the Servers are unharmed and hopefully the data will be safe. The websites are down becuase of the power failure and not because of any damage to the servers.

Let's hope all ends well for the disaster can cause irreversable to many companies that had their websites hosted with The Planet's taxes based Data Center.

The struggle with the fire fight and revival of websites is still on. The latest updates are available at THE PLANET's FORUM.

I am suprised. No one blamed Musharraf for it

;)

Genuine surprise. :))

Not Musharraf but Taliban or Osama ;)

This may have been some kind of a WMD from North Korea or Iraq too ;) And why wasn't it linked to the Danish Embassy blast?

Lol. Great~ :)

Either way! Depends what side of right-wing is extending the blame
