Reference: Curse or Development

How will be this country when there will be jobs available carrying equal opportunities for every one without any limitation for applicants?

As I think it is like to have a dream and seems quit impossible at least in country like Pakistan. I mean when job is open and preference is given only to those who have solid references, I feel why this is happening like this… Isn’t another supporting factor generating discrimination in our society? Isn’t fueling rich class of our economy to be more rich and poor class to go down to hell?

To me those who claim that Pakistan is improving or will be among developed countries; are wrong! How it can be possible when only one class is getting developed and others are going down, as majority of Pakistan is poor/average class.

I am observing this since last week. This is first time I am facing this difficulty practically about which I just heard before!

Well references are important since there is very little that can be judged from a persons resume or education, especially in Pakistan. I can get ANY degree, from ANY institution ANY time for a few hundred dollars

The main issue is that we have to let go of our cultural caste system. Most people restrict themselves to certain professions because their 'caste' does not allow them to follow their talents.

So a talented dancer, or musician or even a businessman will be compelled by society to become an engineer or doctor because otherwise they will bring 'shame' upon their families

You are right Sir.

This is system which is on drive on this way, but amazing fact is this we are, who combinely form a System as we are Member.

Is there need to change this System or there is need to change ourselves.

Sad but true.

Nepotism is always there and sometimes is justified by the concept of 'equal opportunity' too.
I might be able to help you with the job thing! Sabir, drop your resume at my place please. If I can help, I'll let you know. Serious here. :)

Thanks for your Cooperation...

No problem. Let's see how things go! Keep the spirits high!
