Public Opinion: 76% say, state of emergency is to be condemned

The poll received 307 responses and there was a clear statement made the majority of the public. Out of 307, 232 respondents (76%) said that the the State of Emergency is to be condemned.
5% (15) of the total respondents showed a mild reaction against the emergency imposition by saying that it is uncalled for.
Only 60 respondents (20%) were of the view that the emergency is rightly imposed by opting for the 1st and 2nd choices; the best was forward (33) and the need of the hour (27).
Final Verdict by the Jury: The Public
State of Emergency is Found Guilty of Charge and Should be Lifted.

Since when does public opinion matter in Pakistan. If it was for public, all the corrupt beauracracy and political leaders would have been hanged till after death. The saddest part of our system is that the public is treated like war prisoners that can only enjoy the right of being silent.
I wish that some day, the people of Pakistan realize their power and make all these self imposed public lords, public servants that they actually are.
