Pre Planned "Post Poll Rigging"
submitted 6 months 16 days 18 hours ago by: imtnan : 1 commentTo this momment, We are more dan finalized with initial results of 2008 polls. People seem contented on a very "free n fair" elections. Yes.... apparently they were free n fair elections.
Coming to the reasons, To me yes Polling was free n fair yet the election was not. As the election's not all about polls. What's been happening after that is also apart n parcel of the process. "Private dinners" of Musharraf's closest friend and manipulator (Tariq Aziz), with Asif Ali Zardaaree at some common friend's house is a step that was percieved long ago. Our establishment knew they were not going have their "pets" in a strong position after the elections. Now they are trying to hack (through black mailing on the issues of power sharing and NRO) what the nation has given with alot of confidence to the popular democratic forces.
They are trying to "mild out" the situation for the dictator, trying to find out a "mid way solution" to his existance, some cheapest form of "Barter trade" is going on rite now.....
Will the politicians blessed with a confidence given by nation be able to prove themselves worth it? Or they will go along the water?? Do they have even a fraction of the determination shown by our lawyers and the civil society? Do they have the moral courage to stand by their promises? Do they have learnt something from their past experiences with dictators?
All these questions are pinching me, and surely would be pinching to every Pakistani who has a bit of care for his motherland..

The polls were rigged. There is no way the Q-league could have gotten the number of seats they finally did. Nawaz was the bigger threat and he lost to the more easily manipulated Zardari
