Why can't they make rules against making movies which are against any religion of the world in the United Nations(UN) ?

I would like to add here that some Muslim Clerics have called fro Peace in this situation. They are of the view that such matierial is developed with a motive to start an agitation among the Muslims, to show the world that Islam is a religion of aggression or terror...."Fitna".

We must therefore, refrain from any aggressive act in order to prove the claims of non-believers wrong rather than to justify them by acting stupid.

Mud slinging is not part of any rational debate that I am aware of.

The verses offered as 'proof' in the short "Idiots guide to Islam" were all quoted out of context.

Does Islam preach violence? Yes but only as a response to violence not preemptive violence

Islam is not the cause of the violence, it is a recruitment tool just as 'Democracy' and 'Way of life' are exploited by demagogues elsewhere to futher their aims

It is high time Muslims stopped trying to defend their faith. The violence around the world has nothing to do with Islam and all to do with exploitation or the sense thereof

Just to add a few lines here. Muslims must not deny the status of Jihad in Islam or try to give explanations for it. Nonetheless, its unfortunate that the verses referring to Jihad are mostly quoted out of context and the concept of  Jihad is understood in a very limited meaning. I hope the Muslim scholars would come forward and explain the concept further and in full context. To my limited understanding, the entire life of a Muslim is a Jihad from when he prays and fasts to when he avoids evil practices and conquers his own Nafs (Id).

Even a student who leaves home in pursuit of knowledge is in Jihad.Praise be to Allah swt Who has ordained Al-Jihad (the holy fighting in Allah's Cause):1. With the heart (intentions or feelings),2. With the hand (weapons, etc.),3. With the tongue (speeches, writings, etc., in the Cause of Allah)With reference to common concept of ‘Jihad’ – the physical fighting for the cause of Allah, it is to protect your own honour and life, to protect the weak, to rescue the oppressed and to establish a rule of justice and peace through Islam. Allah says: “And fight in the way of Allah those who fight you...” (V.2:I9O).
