well done lums....................chak de phattey.

go musharraf go

salut LUMS...and all those who are joining you...

i am glad to support people like you...

keep it up...guys...

It is indeed heartening to see the students of LUMS and other universities taking to the streets against the dictatorial emergency rule imposed by Musharraf. However it is high time that the nation in general and the students (youth) in particular realize that the solution to our problems doesnot lie in democracy . Democracy and dictatorship are two sides of the same coin. For sixty years we have tried dictatorship , democracy and a mix of both and everything has failed. The time has come to consider an alternative system , an alteranative leadership. Today we should neither call for democracy not for dictatorship but for Islam and Islamic system i-e the Khilafah. Only Khilafah will solve our problems and save us from tyrants like Musharaf and traitors like Benazir , Nawaz and the others

If you have a look at the Islamic history, you would know that the Khilafah era did not have much success also. There were wars for power and an eventual disaster. So what should we ask for in this situation ?

First of all we should know from whom we are taking this version of history. unofrtunately we donot have a well documented history of the Muslims. What ever history we have is twisted and biased. We should always consider the source from which we are getting the info. Secondly i agree that we had problems in the later part of the Khilafah. We should definitely learn lessons from history. If there were mistakes in our past it doesnot mean that the system itself was wrong. For over 1000 years Muslims remained the most dominant force on the planet. We were the most advanced people in the fields of science , technology , industry , economics , arcitecture , literature , politics , military and more. Today we need to revert back to the actual system of Khilafah as implemented by Prophet SAW and the Sahaba. Today Islam is the only force that can bind us together.

Khilafat was good as long as the Khalifah was democratically elected (first four only) after that the 'generals' took over then as is the case now overthrew a democratically elected ruler (Ali)

I agree that Khilafah is the system we need to establish now. We've experienced the dictaorship and the democracy. It is high time we turn back to wat Islam has given us.And if we are true believers of the fact that our deen is not outdated we should not doubt practice of the Sahaba and the Prophet(PBUH).

NCA students are also organizing a protest within their campus. And considering that all students (as far as i have heard) are holding non party based protests;i suggest all students from various universities/colleges should come together on a single platform. That will make a bigger impact. So Forge together for a greater cause!

In Islamabad/Rawalpindi stuents have launched a petition against the current martial law and emergency. See the link below.

Do visit and post your comments and signatures

OK, you guys are really starting to amaze me with this joke you are trying to call 'agitation' and labelling 'bravery'

What in the name of heaven is a damn petition going to accomplish. We need action on the street not on the internet

Pakistan really is a house of fools

LUMS! WE ARE PROUD OF YOU. THE NATION IS PROUD OF ALL STUDENTS WHO HAVE TAKEN UP THE TASK WHICH My GENERATION SHOULD HAVE.

I have always been disgruntled and didnt find the answer to WHERE FROM that ray of hope would come that changes Pakistan. It DID come and it came from a place where people expected the LEAST. That place is LUMS!

Today It has spread accross pakistan with students protesting from Pashawar to Karachi. We even had Headstart and Froebels kids protesting here in Islamabad. They did also go to the Honorable Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice IFTIKHAR M. CHAUDHRY.

SO BUCK UP GUYS!  JUST SO YOU KNOW, the nation solutes you all! Every girl and every boy ... Please keep going. Keep your spirits high and feel assured, victory will be yours, justice will win and one day when you are old, unlike us, you would tell your kids and grandkids on one 14th of August, this is a country which JINNAH created in 1947 and then we got it FREE 60 years later.  ...

Hmm! so i think alot of people agree on the Khilafah system
