Job Satisfaction or ROI?
submitted 2 months 24 days 19 hours ago by: HawaOmar : 9 commentsHeyyyy there fellow buzzers :)
Hope alz good...
The Q I wish to pose today is thus : if u were from a middle-class family and had two options in your industry, namely, being in a job u love but which pays ok (enough to sustain u and perhaps, keep u in dat (*reputable*) firm, lol) and a job which you are not crazy about, it's on the borderline do-able side of things, has not much room from growth but pays highly, which one would u opt for and why?

By the way, the ROI in the title = return on investment...
The second. Gradually, after gaining some experience, one can always make a career change or shift in which there are better growth or creative opportunities. Whateva. Not very sure about what I would do in a practical situation like that. :)
Hmm... dat's true but I guess that can also be applied to the first scenario...especially if it's with a reputable firm...and won't the enjoyment factor up the drive a notch or two...? puzzled4now..
hmmm - a trade-off between enjoyment and financial benefits...
People usually opt for a job to make good money. Very few have enjoying it as the target. On the other hand, after a little time, when you are able to understand and better coordinate with the ppl around you, it can become enjoyable. No harm in giving yourself some time. Good money always feels good.
Good point! Wise words indeed! :)
How I love being praised! You are godsent!
:)
Its a tough choice for sure...but in the end job satisfaction and your salary are highly correlated.........so I would go for the second option.....!!
interesting :)
