Aitezaz ahson has a long history of politics behind him. He was a worker of Mr bhutto but left him becasue Mr Bhutto was unable to listen anything against his own decision. Aitezaz was young at that time so was unable to control his opinion against the ruler. He re-joined PPP when Bhutto was hanged. At the time when PPP's Suger eaters were announcing their no-relation with PPP, aitezaz came back and suffered with Zia's marshal law..He served agency prison in Shahi Fort.When BB came to pakistan , she appreciated his efforts. Aitezaz coninously won elections from PPP plateform and remained apple of the eye untill March 9 came where stood against PPP verdict for CJ
BB scolded him for his open statements against PPP's verdict on Judges issue but he didnt mind it and remained consideringhimself a PPP worker..BB even didnt call him in CEC meeting of LOndon , nor nominated him his delegate in APC of london. But Aitezaz remained PPP worker. When BB was murdered , aitezaz was in house arrest. He went to her grave after release and cried like kids.
Zaradri came in power and many times he made fun of aitezaz's opinion in meetings and well as in interviews. PPP tried its best to restrict aitezaz from judicial movement but in vain. In CEC there are many people who are judical rival of aitezaz as well they are alergic from his current glorified image like Senator Babar awan asif zardari, sheri Rehman and zardari himself.
In current meeting of CEC held on 22-8-08 , aitezaz was again humiliated by Co-chairman. Many of his puppets also spoken against aitezaz.
i feel he should leave PPP once for good becasue the idiots who have occupied PPP will not accpet him nor they will let him come in higher positions. Aitezaz can win his seat of lahore cantonment and Gujrat from any party. If he cant accpet religious norms of JI , he should join Tehreek Insaf. He should not join PML N because it is a family business now and even jawaid hashmi couldnot come in front so how they will let him ? Aitezaz should respect his principles.

He doesn't believe in leaving the party but changing and influencing it as well as he can. That is what he keeps telling the media.
But there are only three or four person who are able to negate openly the statements of co-chairman...1-aitezaz, 2 safdar abbasi 3- yousaf talpur 4- ameen fahim
but they have no influence...he just spoiling his career
Democracy, my friend, is all about agreeing to disagree. PPP represent an ideology alien to non-PPPians. I am not a jiala & only reason I cast vote for PPP is to keep PML (A-Z) groups away from Power. The day these buggers are in power they will impose their fanatic agendas on my country.
Perhaps this explains why Ihtazaz with all his differences will never leave PPP. Unless there is another equally strong secular options available secular minded individuals are bound to stay with PPP.

Oh I hate Amin Fahim. Most probably coz I don't understand him. I also fail to understand why Benazir Bhutto held him in such esteem? He was considered her confidante in political matters. Can anyone kindly explain that? Maybe I'll understand better.
He is what's called a flip flopper and like all PPPians the only thing he is worried about is his own person. Without PPP, he knows he stands no chance of ever coming to power no matter how popular he becomes (Imran Khan, anyone?)

My dislike for them far exceeds my deep love of Nawaz.
PPP has a history of selling the interests of Pakistan; at least Nawaz never was involved in selling Pakistani citizens to foriegn nations like Benazir and Musharraf. That is the difference, he was a leader for the people not the leader of the people
Lets not engage in PML(N) discussion again. I don't consider you as an objective individual to have this sort of debate.

IOLA" amin fahim has a strong relation with establishment as his father Talib-Ul-Mola was peer of many secretaries of fedral ministries. Amin fahim was appointed by BB just to bridge up the gap between establishment and PPP which he successfully did. Laterz it proved that when he was seen at PEER SOHAWA resturent with Gen Musharaf by journalists. He was in good relations with Musharaf so till last time he remained opposing the impeachment...There was no other person available to BB who could manage deal between them as Jahangir badar is deadman of negotiations and raza rabbani had bad relations with Musharaf
BABAR: why PPP's politics of principles always roams about personal interests ??? In the time of Bhutto they announced "general Pardon" just to save themselves from cases and now they are again facilitating themselves by NRO

Mianjee, When was politics of principle anything other then personal interest? Would you mind naming one politician.
One can always discuss corruption on Yellowcab scheme, SROs to facilitate duty free imports for Sharif's foundries, corruption in motorway 1 etc if in case "Nawaz" is your favorite candidate for presidency. Let alone his political coup against institution of Pakistan to become Dictator-ul-momaneen.

Moreover for the politics of the principles you can consider after jinah , CHohdry Mohammed Ali...and then Mr Junijo ...Both remained at stand against respective dictators as PM Ch Mohammed ali resigned against Ayub khan and Junijo was not following Zia's dictations
