Saw this protest outside Aiwan-e-Iqbal, Lahore. All the media agencies were there to capture it, but wonder if the targeted audience actually gives any heed to all these street protests.

Prices of basic commodities have shot up incrementally in the past few years and there is no hope for the poor of the country. All they can do is show their anguish and distress by coming out on the streets, as our two top buzzerz Khalifah and Dr. Irfan Zafar keep stressing. But the thing is that unless these poor buggers do something nasty and wild like killing or burning someone (best some politician) no one is going to take them seriously. Our leaders are happy letting them vent out on streets or wherever they want and discuss public issues in political talks with Hamid Mir and likes, but nothing concrete is happening or worse, is likely to happen.

So what then, should we all be prepared and wait for the time till these protests turn into mob attacks and agitation against the haves of the society (inshAllah).
