Dr. Shahid Masood was a good man and wanted to do something good unlike many of his predecessors at PTV. May his soul rest in peace.
You may be shocked to hear this. Well, I am playing fortune-teller here :)
This news might not be true, but from what I am reading in the paper (if true), this has to happen and no one can stop it, fortune-teller or no fortune-teller !
Apparently Dr. Shahid Masood is trying to take a stand against the present PPP government and saying NO to all government requests and pressures. Now this can be a trick to get attention and make some name n fame (which he already has though) OR it could very well be another plot of the PPP to do God Knows What. But this is a fact that PPP is trying to play dirty games and I have no doubt in my mind that one can expect anything from Zardari, he is an evil genius.
So let's just see what this show is all about.

He likely did not have the right lineage to be director of PTV. You have to talk the proper Urdu with the english sprinkles. Ethnics need not apply!
Dr. hahid Masood was struggling for this poisition. The government threw a bone to him and he stopped barking. He was hungary for poisition.
One needs to be more professional and tactful, no matter what the stance. A hard line rarely eva works.

It is the bad luck of Pakistan that since its indepndence it has no good leader . . . and when ever people see some one talking for them thinking for them . . . the next moment it happens what we are discussing about . . .
Dr. Shahid you did not know your cost . . . you sell your self very cheeply (for mony) . . . you could sell it for hearts of 15 Cror pakistanies.

Two institutions that are absolutely meaningless in the context of Pakistan are as follows:
1) PTV
2) Govt. Schools
As you can see the Taliban are hitting them good.

I think the products (students) of these govt schools are worthless since what they are taught is in a foreign (urdu) language and heroworship is the main emphasis. That is why the people (90% talibans) are burning the worthless schools. Private schools are just marginally better.
My best friends are from these 'worthless' schools of NWFP.. the 'worthless' students make me (a reputable english medium school product) worthless because of the talent they have and struggle they had to make.
I just speak better english than them. Thats it. And I get portrayed as a learned person.

Shahid Masood is a good person and seems honest hope everything works right for him and as far as PPP and Zardari are concerned hehe they are the old foxes and everyone knows them well and a school of thought is still there who thinks that ZA ZA ZARDARI killed his wife for power and money and to get the wealth of bhuttos.
