physical attractiveness & short term relationships
submitted 2 months 26 days 9 hours ago by: psingh : 18 commentsa group of sociologists did a survey across several universities and colleges in USA. they first gathered information on the people (all young adults).... including (a) the persons sexual activity ie the number of sex partners he/she has in a given time period and (b) the physical attractiveness of the person.
the results they found showed that huge majority of males who were sexually active ie had sex with greater number of women ...were physically attractive.
however they found no such relationship between a females sexual activity and her physical attractiveness.
this is contrary to what most people would have thought. but it proves one thing. that when it comes to short term affairs, casual sex etc....its more important for men to be good looking than it is for women.
but lets discuss the reasons for this phenomena

Strange survey and i can not believe that its true. Whats the proof of all that.Why can't women who have more sex with partners be more physically attractive and how come men are its unbelievable they have to prove this survey is right. To most of the people it sounds simple non sense a a miscalculation.

they definitely can be more attractive BUT ITS NOT IMPORTANT THAT THEY SHOULD BE. basically what i understand from the survey is that if there were 100 men and 100 women then out of the 100 sexually active men 90 were attractive. while out of the 100 sexually active women lets say 40 were more attractive than the average. in other words still its more common to find an average or reasonable looking woman who sleeps around with greater number of men than it is to find an average looking guy who sleeps around with a greater number of women.
to me that makes perfect sense. surely people feel comfortable discussing these things.
there is a difference between the following 2 statements read carefully.
(1) physically attractive people on average have more sexual partners
(2) people who have more sexual partners are usually physcially attractive
OK i read the 2 statements understood. Does that mean if a guy wants to be physically more attractive he should look for more sexual partners? And if a woman want to be attractive she should not go for many sexual partners and keep just few? AND ANOTHER ONE SEXUAL PARTNERS HERE CAN NOT JUST MEAN OPPOSITE SEXUAL PARTNERS AS THERE ARE SO MANY DICK HEAD MEN WHO ARE GAYS AND SOME WITCH LIKE WOMEN WHO ARE LESBIANS.WHAT ABOUT THOSE SAME SEX RELATIONSHIPS AND ATTRACTIVENESS?
i am only talking about heterosexual sex. and this survey is only about heterosexual people most probably.

please use common sense because it cannot happen that way. you cannot change your physical attractiveness. that is permanent. if an unattractive ugly guy (somehow) manages to have many sexual partners and sleeps around with several women he is NOT GONNA BECOME BETTER LOOKING.
all im saying is that looks are more necessary for a man if he wants to be active sexually and sleep around and flirt around and have casual affairs with many women.
but looks are not that important for a woman to sleep around with men. an average looking woman can easily sleep around with many men and have casual sex.

to me this theory makes perfect sense. i think its because looks and physical attractiveness of a man are more important for a woman when she is looking for JUST SEX. i mean look at schools and colleges around you all the girls flock around the popular attractive guys. i have personally rarely seen an average looking guy flirting with a beautiful girl but average looking girls flirt around with goodlooking guys all the time. i mean if a woman wants just sex why wouldnt she walk up to a good looking guy for that

what kind of guys become STUDS....goodlooking, well built, masculine etc. but is it important that a SLUT have all the positive qualities relating to good looks. its good if she has them but i have personally seen that its not really important for a girl to be really attractive if she wants to be a slut. infact an average looking girl can easily become a slut
