Does your handwriting reflect your personality?
submitted 5 months 17 days 23 hours ago by: Iola : 36 commentsIf you eva look at some of the ads in the newspaper, you sometimes come across one that says write the application in your own handwriting and post it to blah blah blah post box no blah blah blah.
At one end, using the keyboard has become so common that we neva get to write anything in our own handwriting anymore and at the other this criteria or demand seems to put a different question to the mind. I remember when I was young, the teachers used to press upon the need of a neat and legible handwriting script. Thank God, I am not that young anymore. :)
In forensics and crime investigation, handwriting recognition can oft play a major role in helping solve a mystery in real life. Refer to www.crimelibrary.com to read the criminal mind and investigations.(This reference is only for bloodthirsty ppl though. Not recommended for weak hearts, children and patients of blood pressure.)
Books have been written on whether our personality is reflected through our handwriting or not. I neva read them. Can't spend that much time on one topic! Maybe it does!
However, don't you think reading someone else's writing for understanding his or her personality reflects upon how good we ourselves are at this specialized field... it is a specialized field after all, so called graphology? There still goes on a debate over whether the data collected after the analysis of the handwriting can accurately depict the traits of our character and personality. Some believe that there is a corelation between the two while others consider this theory totally absolutely worthless!
Now, the image above shows content that supports this buzz and if you ppl start analyzing it, each one would read the same person differently so I believe if one eva starts to judge ppl through their handwriting, we wouldn't really get anywhere or would we?
Hmmm....good question! Ok gimme your thoughts on it! What do you say? Let's get technical! :)

It could provide some insight but not enough to use that knowledge to draw any sound conclusion or to use that information in any constructive way. Falls in the realm of metaphysics, if you ask me
I don't see any application beyond whetting academic curiosity.
Girls writing is slanting on left and boyz on right so handwriting helps determine the gender of writer.
A constituent element of the sum of parts that make up the whole.
(What the hell am I saying?!)
You are trying to talk about a mathematical formula in English ;)
Or maybe the whole that is made up of parts
That doesn't sound possible!
na I guess I was trying to show off but it dint work :|
Oh you don't have to worry on that count! Haven't you seen me quoting you here and there? :)
:)
once i tried to go through my father's police guide on hand writing...it was so confusing...slants,loops,gaps,height...there were samples of diff handwritings as well...i can just recall one point though...
the ppl who have big loopy signatures are confident of their success and like being in the limelight....sample attached was the signature of Winston Churchill....on the otherhand ppl who do not enjoy being in limelight have that a very small signature with alphabets partially indistinguishable frm each other....example Gandhi's signature.....there was a third type as well....it assumes that a person's desires are not constant n over the period of years ,with change in circumstances the characteristics like self-assurity n thirst for fame may change...in this type of case ur once loopy signature gradually bcomes smaller n alphabets end up making a curved line with few bumps for alphabets....the sample signature was that of President Nixon....
that was one hell of a recall Pinky :)
:) but out of a whole book its 0.5/10 marks for me......actually i was reading the book just to apply that stuff to my handwriting...that is probably why dint learnt much...i would mention the name of the book n author after a while...
thats what everyone does Pinky :) whether its graphology or palmistry.. you first apply it on yourself! Everyone likes 'himself/ herself' na :) Everyone is a narcissist..
i m not a narcissist...how can u deduce that a person is narcissist just bcoz he applies some knowledge to himself???? why are u forgetting that in such a case its his/her own writing or palm which is available to him until he/she masters the knowledge???? for example if i start frm the palms n handwriting of others during the process of learning, they will make me a laughing stock if i get things a bit wrong.....so that is y u you use urself as ur first specimen not coz of Narcissum
Of course you are the first sample Pinky :)
You first 'check' what does a particular area of study says about 'you'! Mastering it comes a bit later :)
Ok you are not a narcissist. I believe you :)
thnks....u saved urself otherwise in a few minutes there would have been a contract out on u to b carried out by one n only Iola :)
Lol. I am quite a narcissist myself!
If writing reflects personality....Then I practically do not exist :-)
It either reflects you quite precisely or you are a great graphologist!
And I probably belong to the insect world. That's I keep hearing from my Father! "You don't write, you draw insects on the paper" !
Damn!
That's why I keep asking you to change your picture at buzzvines!!!! :)
I just signed my Signature on a paper forthwith after reading this Buzz...
I realized, a person who will be judging my personality through my signatures will be daring to Kill me..."huh, too much inconsistency...!!!, is it signature or sketch of mountains" lolz
that's why I proud on my hand writing :-q
but the experts claim that they can find a match by superimposing individual alphabets frm two different samples of ur handwriting....even if the height, length, width is different the number of strokes n their direction would b the same..
But i am vacant (as perceived from my hand writing)... :)
If writing depicts personality then how can you conclude somethign about doctors who always have a GICHMICH (grafity) handwriting???
even i can deduce one fact..... that the person (doctor) was in hurry :)
AND IF PHARMACY PERSON IS IN HURRY THEN LIFE IS IN DANGER...100% CHANCE TO HAVE WRONG MEDICINE
the book which i skimmed is "Interpreting Handwriting" by Jane Paterson....interesting read if u have nothing better to do :)
i dont even know i have a personality. im sure there are many others out there too.
awww...aisay nai kehte,,,i m sure u have a personality...personality doesn't mean some out of the world stuff....just ur traits/characteristics....n everyone possess some traits...u included....as postman said u r err innovative.....:)
Where did PostMan say that?
he remarked abt his innovative ID on the buzz "Enlightened Confusion"
Ok.
If writing relects personality that does not mean that a person with bad handwriting doesn't have a good personality and a person with good handwriting has a good personality? REFLECTING PERSONALITY CAN NOT SIMPLY MEAN THAT AT ALL MAY BE ITS VICE VERSA.
First we have to define personality ......derived from Latin word persona which mean mask or to wear something .Can any one else define personality
AND THEN ANSWER MY QUESTION .
Handwriting can definitely give you an idea of a person's attention to detail and patience. I don't know if I can believe handwriting would tell you if a person is inherently good or bad however.
Well said!
