Unity
submitted 2 months 14 hours ago by: tbhatty : 20 commentsPakistan is going through some bad times presently. Restoration of the Judges is important but not at all cost as some political parties are demanding.
Pakistan needs a constitutional amendments and unity between all major parties to bring the country out of this turmoil if very important.
Muslim League Nawaz group, should stay out of mass demonstration as planned in Lahore, it will only ignite the situation. Their demand of restoration of judges is valid but whole judiciary should be revamped.
Let’s hope and pray that Pakistani politian will play a positive role and get the matter resolved without more disturbances.
President of Pakistan has done lot of good things for the country as we see it from the outside.
hopefully the amendments will bring balance of power between PM and the President and Pakistan can be put on road to recovery and work on bringing to end of suffering of their masses.

The political parties will not unite at all. all the politicians have vested interests. Since inception Pakistan didn't had a leadership or the vision to decide where they want to head. Still we do not have a vision. We are confronted with numerous problems, but we dont see any solution.
We need to find a sincere person who can bring about a change in our contry. Like the ones who brought change in China, Korea etc.
The solution to the problem is one Hitler.......who can take care of all other Hitlers.
Sorry Last Wish I don't believe in radical changes. Change is a process and
we are well on our way to a better Pakistan.
Please read more about Hitler. His followers systematically massacred
approximately 9 million prisoners in the name of German nationalism (Jews + Others). No human being
deserves such a terrible fate. I hope we never have anyone like Hitler in Pakistan.

I agree with you 100%.
Pakistan had democratic election, presently run by elected govt. and definately can see change is in the process.
This is from me who is looking in from outside.
best of luck and think positive!
They don't speak English in Subic Bay?
TAIMUR .
Why restoration of judges is feared by some ex government members?
Why can't Musharraf keep his personal EGO out and restore judges without minus one formula? Does CJ Iftikhar bite him.
What differnce would it make if the judges are not restored ?What Pakistan will achieve by this?
Who would be the beneficary of all these actions of suspension of judges ,people or government ? who who .......
what differnce would all that make to a common man ?
Tourism thoughts on my mind here!
TAIMUR .
Tourism Iola... what all these issues have to do with TOURISM.
anywayz
Ok great thoughts on your mind Iola. Where have you planned to go this summer which place?

Bhatti: you are refering again to NAZRIA _E_ZAROORAT that President is a defacto so we have to bear him.
changes do take time but 1st thing which should be done is removal of defacto president. otherwise PPP wilnot be able to make any difference.
LAST WISH:
there are two known types of revloutions:
1-In which people come towards self-jusitice system and whole country goes on anarchy..This type of revolutions come due to scarcity of leadership...French revolution is an example
2-in which poeple follow a leader and that leader takes hard steps in order to re-frame the institutions like Khumaini did in Iranian revolution...
We cant afford 1st type of revolution so we need to go to 2nd...and for that purpose we need sincere leadership which is not available...
Yes, let's forever look for the elusive Mahdi
Mianjee
The
Iranian style revolution has already been tested and failed in Pakistan.
It was introduced by General Zia and as far as I remember the reaction was very
negative. Majority of Pakistanis
rejected it because we are a pluralistic and tolerant Nation.
This is something to be proud of actually

Khalifah: so were should we go ? after mob revolution scheme or we have Imran and qazi which are over emotional leaders though are not as much corrupt as other are..
*where
Zia only USED religion to appease the Islamic padris who formed the core of his followers. The religious right in Pakistan has never seen true political power except maybe in local governments; definitely not in the federal government.
So, no, Pakistan has not seen an Iranian style theocracy and given our inherent submissiveness; we will probably quietly put up with that as well
Khalifah,
Perhaps you should explain religious right first. Last time I
checked, it was Taliban style autocratic mullaz who represented religious right
in Pakistan.
As
for inherent submissiveness is concerned, I wish they had this graphic media
back in Zia’s time. Whatever little agitation that we see against Musharraf is
basically due to CJ issue. Otherwise people do not have any major ideological
difference with him like the way they had with Zia. This is why even after so
much of provocation there is no real civil-disobedience today the way it was in
80s.In fact the whole of Zia's period was full of agitation where as 7/8 years
of Musharraf were completely peaceful.
This means that people of Pakistan
are generally pro-moderate and liberal forces. Model such as
Iran will not be
appreciated here. People have adopted Islamic ways as personal preference and if it is imposed on them they will not appreciate that

NEW YORK (CNN) -- A top Baha'i official has criticized Iran's
claim that the six imprisoned leaders of the religious minority were
held for security reasons and not because of their faith.
The arrests of the six last week and another Baha'i leader in March
sparked sharp condemnation by the Baha'is, the United States, Canada,
the European Union and humanitarian groups.
The Baha'is say the
latest arrests are part of a pattern of religious persecution since
1979, when the monarchy of the Shah of Iran was toppled and an Islamic
republic was created in the predominantly Shiite nation.
The Baha'is say they have been killed, jailed and "otherwise oppressed" only because of their religion.

This has to stop!
This world is big enough place for all religions to live peacefully.
" love your neighbour"

Ya Bhatti:
"Love your neighbours but never get caught"
Khalifah: You are right. If these shortsighted molvies hadnot been with Zia, he was unable to rule..They gave strength to two dictators...after Zia they learnt no lesson and by 17th ammendment endorsed musharaf..
BABAR: If right Mulla is preaching and exploiting innocents then people with libral islamic views should come ahead like shoaib mansoor, Ghamdi and Prof. khurshid etc.
If state will try to use power in order to abolish these right mullas it will result in agression which we are observing as suicide attacks

I agree
If state will try to use power in order to abolish these right mullas
it will result in agression which we are observing as suicide attacks
State was provoked to use force first by Lal Mosque
agitators and then by Swat agitators. I think response of the state against these agitators was complete justified, because we don't want these crooks to tell us how to live our lives.
As for suicide bombings, curtsey Zia-CIA combo this manes is
there to stay. Closing our eyes will not make them go away and therefore it is
best confronted now. Pak-army should so there job of squeeze them by force
and Shoaib, Ghamdi at al must play
their role to educate public.
