BAN ON BOOK OR BOOKFAIR ????
submitted 6 months 12 days 7 hours ago by: mianjee : 3 commentsThough the activities of IJT remained controversial in institutes becasue of their political affiliations and their ideology of using force against social evils, but they flurished positive activities in institutes as well like Bookfairs, career seminars, welcome and fairwell parties to students and teachers, short courses, free medical camps and agitations against fees increaments.
Bookfair is the oldest tradition of PU since last 30 years, in famous publishers and booksellers set their stalls. Intellectuals and politicians visit that bookfair in order to encourage positive activities in institutes. Books are availabel on 50% price.
PU administration has banned IJT BOOKFAIR by saying that it is an illigal activity. Their ban came ahead when PM has lifted ban on student union. Then how this activity can be illigal?
This ban will lead student politics towards collusions and agression. If PU administration cant provide students with a positive activity then how they can ban it?
Police has sieged PU acadamic area as well as hostels...IS govt going to introduce their own student wing PSF in PU?

well - IJT deserve this; if they want to continue the tradition - they have to apply to syndicate comettie for having this book fair. if they dont want to apply and just want to push it on ppl - thats illegel ;

I demand for a stictest operation against IJT like Shahbaz Shareef did in FC College and now see where FC College stands - one of the best...

That was not FC college but that was PU and that action was also taken to introduce their own MSF. FC college was given back to christion trust and they picked it up and advised new standards.
Even if it wa against FC jamiat then was it legal?
IJT press release says that they had appllied to syndicate. Syndicate failed to give any specific reason for theri dis-approval.
I have nothing to do with hypocracy of Qazi and Fazl but i can see PSF comming in PU under the security of police force. Similar process have done in Zikrya university where PM invited PSF workers in an official confrence of university...
dude - I studied in FC College and i know when this operation happened bcz. i was enrolled in college - it happened in 1999, so you better check your statistics first !
