The third annual world management conference, MANCON 2008 launched March 11th 2008. The 2-day event, inaugurated by Senator Nisar A. Memon, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, has been organized by the Nutshell forum and sponsored by Wateen Telecom. On the occasion, Senator Nisar A. Memon said, “Events such as MANCON are critical for the developing corporate sectors of the Asian countries and are an excellent effort for promoting a positive image of the region to the international community.”

Christopher Armitage, Regional Vice President of TeraData, spoke about the transformation of organizations through the usage of technology and its importance for growth. H. E. Ebrahim Khalifa Al Dossary, Advisor to the Prime Minister of Bahrain, and Vice President of the Arab Management Society, spoke about branding the Asian leadership and shared his thoughts on the transformation of the management into leadership.

The first day of the conference focused on the dynamic role of the business leadership in Asia, and how they compete with the global market. The conference was organized as an idea sharing platform that allows attendees to grasp the ever changing scenario of Asia and to come up with innovative solutions to challenges arising in these tumultuous times. The event commenced today with very positive response from the corporate sector and is a significant step towards improving the sector.

Call me pessimistic, but i don't think Wateen has got what it takes to be a leading 'carrier's carrier' providing reliability, quality, affordability or any ility of the same league. I think they have a lot of internal mess that they need to clear up. A friend of mine is one of the franchisees n i can see him going through hell because of the inefficiency and incompetency of the company. I've heard they were not technically ready yet to launch the service but they had to due to mobilink's linkdotnet

Wateen is a dying a company the Shekh who invested billion into wateen is in trouble he is constipated for the last whole year as the company is loosing money like hell...
