Benazir Bhutto must be a very sad woman today in heaven (if that's where she is)! Because Mr. Zardari has officially declared his wish to become the next prime minister if PPP wins these elections.

I'm not a political anaylst, but as far as i know, Zardari will prove to be a much bigger threat to Pakistan than any other politician has ever been. What he's planning to do now is cash in on the sympathy votes his party's going to get. And since the people of this unfortunate country don't know any better they'll blindly vote for BB's hubby and get us all in trouble.

This also reminds me of something my driver told me yesterday. He said that if he wanted he could ask for Rs. 15000 to cast his vote in his village. His village is a small constituency and the candidates running for elections from there are absolutely desperate to get votes! Can u imagine that!?! 15000 rupees for ONE vote!!! WOW!!

So this is how people buy their way into politics. And look at what the chaudries are doing all around Lahore - putting up posters on anything that even looks like a tree or a pole, advertising on huge billboards, they've even installed an enormous green cycle in Liberty Market! One of my friends rightly suggested that Mr. Parvez Elahi should change his name to Azaab-e- Elahi:P
