Sharable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) is a collection of standards and specifications adapted from multiple sources to provide a comprehensive suite of e-learning capabilities that enable interoperability, accessibility and reusability of Web-based learning content. It defines communications between client side content and a host system called the run-time environment (commonly a function of a learning management system). SCORM also defines how content may be packaged into a transferable ZIP file.SCORM 2004 introduces a set of rules that specify the order in which a learner may experience content objects.Different Versions of SCORM:

2.      Accessible: Can be searched and made available as needed by both learners and content developers.  

3.      Interoperable: Operate across a wide variety of hardware, operating systems and web browsers.  

4.      Durable: Do not require significant modifications with new versions of system software.
