Cricket Rules; No good for the bowlers!

Cricket Rules; No good for the bowlers!

I have been wondering what good some of the rules and regulations of ODI, do to the bowlers in the world of Cricket.

For instance, take the rule of three power plays; one of 10 overs (with two fielders outside the 30-yard circle) to be taken right at the beginning, and the other two power plays; each of five overs (with two and then three fielders outside the 30 yard circle) to be taken later on in the innings. It benefits the batsmen but not the bowlers. Batsmen get more room to play shots and score boundaries in the first twenty overs as captains choose to get rid of the power plays at the very start. Next is the LBW rule, if there is any doubt, the benefit must go the batsmen. I know, low scoring games are not that entertaining but there is always a frustration for bowlers. Batsmen get lucky on most of the occasions; inside edges run down to the fence, leg byes and byes go for runs. I think, by introducing the rule of power plays, they (the officials) want to give the batsmen a chance to beat the highest ever ODI score of 194, made by my favorite player, Saeed Anwar. However, there is no one yet to beat the record. Well, that was my point of view.

I know not much of you people are interested in Cricket, but I cannot help posting about it.

TAIMUR ASGHAR QURESHI.

Pakistani bowlers are not capable of bowling on a green bouncy wickets and not even a single Pakistani can bat on a green grassy wicket. So the rules may be strick but if

i see this from the Pakistani cricketers view point i think it won't affect them.I think these new rules introduced by the ICC (International Cricket Counsil) would benefit

Pakistan Batsmen.
