Musharraf can be elected in uniform
submitted 1 year 9 months 15 hours ago by: Khalifah : 10 commentsIn a verdict that clearly contradicts the constitution, the SC decided in Musharraf's favor in a shocking verdict.
There are three possible reasons:
1. The justices and their families were threated to get a favorable verdict
2. The justices will be making a lot of trips to the banks
3. The justices were first allowed to gain the nations confidence by the staged drama earlier this year so that when a preposterous verdict was read the nation would accept the verdict

Pakistan has, as of today, officially become a failed state.
I would suggest not to jump to conclusions. I agree what has happened is not acceptable, but let's just wait n see. May be God has some better plans. I'd be the happiest man if Musharraf and his party "lota" members are shown dust even through a superficial democratic process. They deserve a mass level humiliation.
You can't be sure of anything in this country ruled by a dictator. The SC decision has left everyone shockingly amazed. Lets hope that it only proves a straw for a drowning man.

Sometimes I think war is God's way of teaching us geography.

Please stop thinking like that...this si the core problems of our nation and of allthe Muslims in general....we just want God to come down and help...we do not want to do anything ourselves....remember a quote from school years.....??
God only helps those who help themselves...!
or According to to Iqbal
Khudaa nay aaj tak uss qaum key halat nahi badle
Na ho khayal jiss ko khudd appne halat kay badalnay kaa...!
I'm really pleased to see that you have quoted Iqbal on this. Thats why my plea to all of the people of Pakistan and the Muslim ummah is to pray to Allah almighty to make us pious so that we get pious leaders. This is in fact mentioned clearly in the Quran. We as a nation have crossed the limits of morality, and as proof you can see the norms of our society. What is the percentage of our norms that comply with basic morality ? (religion is long shot)
Unless the young (us - yes! WE !) of today won't realize that most of our elders were mental slaves and its upon us to break this covenant of immorality and if we don't start REJECTING and APPOSING the "fursooda rivayaat" (you can easily identify them as they always end up in destroying human dignity) of our society and fight for morality, we will never come up as a nation and NO ONE in the whole world would accept our identity in the future and all we'd be left with is shame and NO IDENTITY at all. So RISE and break this covenant - this creed of injustice and immorality - this code of ANIMAL INTSTINCT. And all you have to do is start mending your ways, forget thy self and care about the others around you and change will come sooner than you can even imagine. And THAT my friend, is the answer to the age old question being asked a lot around these days "But what can I do single handedly to change the situation?" - you don't have to change the "SITUATION" only your own self. I really needed to voice this because this question is being used as an excuse and doing wrong - "main nai ghalat kaam majboori mein kia" is what you hear from most people.
Ok, first of all, SayBhai you are talking of Utopiastan since as long as you are dealing with humanity, you will have to deal with crookedness, deciet, etc. In a realistic argument, the aim should never be to eradicate evil but to blunt its effect and since we are dealing with humans, there are two tried and tested methods of controlling human behavior, namely the carrot and the stick. In the case of Pakistan, we have been feeding carrots to the army for the last 60 years, it is now time to take out the stick and use it liberally.
Secondly I am not sure how you relate Iqbal (a self confessed drunkard and obvious womanizer) with Islam, at most he was a nationalist who believed in an independent nation for one of India's minority, that the minority happened to be muslim was coincidental for him. (please start another Buzz if you want to argue these facts about Iqbal)
And lastly, your comments are the embodiment of the philosophy that has left us in this wretched state. That is, pray to Allah, make no effort on your part, do not put your self in danger, just pray to Allah and he will take care of everything.
And I quote Fallen Angel:
"God helps those who help themselves"
