It is sad to know that we lost our chance to put President in accountability. It would have been our new tradition. I wished that Mush would have been tried and we would have been able to know lot about looting of both sides in their blame game.

This is the anticlimax to the tragedy of 9 long and tenuous years that were imposed upon us under the artifice and umbrella of arms and dictatorship. The pulp of glory and might gets squished. Ppl who support dictators should be dealt with as if they were in the same bandwagon. 

Democracy on the other hand shall not survive on mere slogans by the alliance. Each person should be made equally liable and accountable for neglecting or not  acting out his role, responsibilities and authority unequivocally. Expectations that are not met should meet immense public pressure upon the selected representatives. Similarly the vote should be cast wisely. We should learn how to protect our interests and not sell out to those who pay us highly. Democracy is more than a word written in books and talked about in seminars,and  libraries. It is not a slogan to lure people blindly from one stop to another. It should not exist in a vaccuum or as a tool for vengeance but each leader should be a representative whose authority subjugates before the will and interests of the people.People need to learn their own strength and power. While this final departure of Musharraf does convey that message yet it should also carry across the value of the might of unity.

I hope education and poverty alleviation is paid attention to while the leaders work in a an ambience of goodwill and in our national interests. 

Beautifully said. A precedent should've been set. But this man now under such strong security and protection seems to have met poetic justice, no? He seems to be forced enroute exile. He will be assassinated not before long.
