Millions looted in the name of CNG price hike.
submitted 1 month 28 days 1 hour ago by: AngryYoungMan : 9 commentsThe government on Monday, the 1st of July, 2008 announced that the price of CNG has increased by Rs.13 per KG. As a result, all CNG stations in the country immediately raised the prices to accommodate the government decision. It was an exhorbitant price hike and a lot of hue n cry was made at the announcement. Now the interesting part.
Yesterday evening, the 2nd of July, 2008, an ammendment to the announcement was made which clearly said that the actual price rise was of only Rs. 4.3 per KG and not Rs. 13. So finally the prices of CNG came down at all stations and the final price per KG came to Rs.43.26 (or something) per KG instead of the earlier Rs.51 that was charged during the day.
The government is saying that there was some mistake in the earlier order and the price was not increased by Rs.13 originally. WOW...what a statement.
Now my question is what about all of those who had their GAS cyllinders filled all throughout the day and paid approx Rs.7 extra for each KG that they got. There is without doubt a public loot of millions of rupees from across the country.
So who is responsible and who is to be blamed. Would the people go back to CNG stations individually to claim their refund, I don't think so. As individually they may not have been burdened with just Rs.7 per kg, however, just imagine what a wonderful day it was for the CNG stations. I don't think even if some people do go to claim their money, CNG stations will refund them....naaa...not in Pakistan.
In my opinion, this should somehow be claimed from the government and distrubuted amongst all commuters. The department responsible for this (slight) confusion should all be sacked.

Refund!! forget it.....they are the looters not the providers
I think we should be used to these type of stupid decisions of the Govt. You are right this deliberate confusion has made possible to suck more blood from a poor man's body which is already anemic. What do you think we should had a CNG station even for one day.
The situation is getting worse and disappointing. It means that there would have been many decisions which were made by mistake. Who is responsible for all that we have lost? The name, reputation, peace of mind, security of life, every thing.....and I know these questions would remain unanswered.
Its impossible to distribute back to the consumer as during the day the CNG pumps were not accepting credit cards & neither they were issuing receipts.
The Minister responsible for this mistake should resign, the Govt. should give a written apology to the public and collect this money from the pumps and donate it to some NGO.
it is merely day dreaming. albartos
their appointment as minister is itself a blunder
Refund, don't even think about it.
Welcome to Pakistan!
albatros: I wish those blood sucking monsters could do that.
If the buyers were not issued reciepts, then any claim of refund is impossible.
Aesay cheap logoan par laanat hoa.
People were expecting relief after the government change, but in fact there is no change.

RIZZY: I have receipt of yesterday...CNG was charged to me at 51.08/kg...Who will refund...Yeh to truck ki batti kay peechay lagani wali bat hoi na
It's around 48Rs/kg. If u have the receit, then u can claim to refund ur money in accordance with new prices, which are less. At least, you should do on your part what u can.
We should not hesitate in demanding our right...........What the dealer respond you, it's up to him, but do effort on your part.
