Malam Jabba ski resort torched to ashes - SAD

This is a very sad news, specially to me as i had fallen in love with that place when i visited Malam Jaba 3-4 years back.
It was located nearly 40km from Saidu Sharif in Swat Valley, Sarhad, Pakistan. Malam Jabba is 314 Kilometers from Islamabad and 51 Kilometers from Saidu Sharif Airport. It was a popular Hill Station and was home to the biggest and most popular and the only ski resort in Pakistan.
One thing amazing about the spot was it was not invaded by people, there were no shopping malls or huge crowd of buildings in the area like Murree there was just one hotel of PTDC with a fully functional with a well maintained ski resort. Visiting Malam Jaba was one of the most remembered trip in my life and every now and then i used to talk about the beauty / peace and closeness to nature of the spot.
Thanks to Taliban militants who torched the country's only ski resort and separately
killed three people in Swat, despite a recent truce with security
forces, officials said. Probably they thought it was an unholy place and building resorts where people can come & relax is not acceptable.
Such news is helping me loose faith in the integrity of Pakistan, yes we are in a stage of denial that nothing horrible can happen but unfortunately such news clearly reflects the path we are heading for...

That's what happens when you give guns to people with no brains, no direction and no self control. These guys have totally lost it; they want to fight the 'infidels', the Afghans, the the moderate muslims and not to mention, each other. I guess the only thing they are perfectly sure of is that they need to fight not over who, what, when and where but just fight for the sake of fighting.

Anything and everything that can give a little bit of pleasure to an ordinary human is huram according to their ideology. I remember, at one time some crazy Mullah issued a fatwa that playing and watching cricket is also huram.
What a petty ordinary Pakistan actually feels sorry for these sadistic creatures. If they have it their way Pakistan will all go into stone ages. & not because US will bomb us but because that it the exact mentality these lunatics represents.

Dawn: Locals said the militants attacked the home of Abdul Kabir, brother of Swat People’s Party vice-president Sher Khan, in Koz Shur area of Matta tehsil. A clash took place as security forces opened fire from nearby hilltops to disperse the attackers.
The militants again converged on the area on Thursday morning and besieged the house.
After an exchange of fire, they broke into the compound and shot dead Mr Kabir, his wife and son Mohammad Ali.

I heard alot about this resort. And what a beautiful pic you have pasted here but it is heart breaking to know that they won't let us to enjoy our own country's beauty. How much they have made us helpless....
