I have a Sony HandyCam that operates with Hi8 video cassette. Camera has two options to stream and play the captured/recorded videos on TV and PC as well:

1. USB
2. Video Out cable

Well, it is streaming as well as playing back normally. But when it comes to make DVDs or even VCDs from Hi8 video cassettes, the output video quality is so poor; colors go fade; the video becomes so darkformat & things like that! The second thing is the of the recorded file & file size as well.

I am sure that I am not using the appropriate hardware and software for these tasks & I really don’t remember which card is installed in my PC right now. I really want to get it changed with some exciting & price effective solution.

I am expecting to have solutions here @ BuzzVines. Please do comment and suggest the appropriate HW & SW as well.
