Khaled Hosseini’s remarkable debut novel ‘The Kite Runner’ is a sophisticated yet simple tale of unconditional love, subliminal prejudices and inescapable guilt. ‘The Kite Runner’ movie has also recently been released. It has sparked some controversy too.
The Afghan government has banned the film from movie theaters and DVD shops because of a rape scene, and the ethnic tensions that the film highlights.Though the child actors enjoyed making the film, they and their families have also expressed worries about their situation now that the film is done. aah this is once again an overhyped and false buzz here.
An Afghani friend of mine told me that it is running there without much fuss....
so get ur facts straight rather than just reposting articles from ohter buzzers....
The government of afghanistan did plan to ban it. Dawn had a full fledged news story on it a couple of weeks ago. So marium's buzz is not 'overhyped and false'. She doesn't live in afghanistan how's she supposed to know if its running there or not.
"did plan to ban it" is very different form "has banned it" and secondly, as i said, whats the use of forwarded other news articles even if it be Dawn or someother well reputed newspaper in the area if it is not subject to an indpendent inquiry.
this leads to spamming and its not a good activity.
i rest my case. no need to argue any further....
enjoy ur beliefs just as i am enjoying mine:-)
Whatever. . .
Girl, can you not take any type of constructive criticism?
Stop acting like the spoilt brat that you are :)

First things first! I did not copy this buzz from any other buzzer. I cited my (quite credible) source of information underneath the post. And that is where I got my facts from. Oh and most unfortunately, I don't have any friends in Afghanistan who'll straighten my facts!
@ Khalifah
I'll stop acting like a brat if you stop being Mr. know-it-all.
Can't do that; it comes naturally
Kool it guys/girls. Relax. It's a good chit chat. Enjoy versatile views. I have read the book. It is brilliant. Yes after reading this buzz, I will surely watch the movie before making any comment.
Take Care

My spoilt-brat-ness comes naturally too. It's a gift from God!:P
