Kinnaird College announces rise in students’ fee.

Kinnaird College for Women, one of the oldest, highly prestigious and most expensive institute at undergraduate level has announced an increase in students fees. The increase is upto 50% of the current fees structure, causing a lot of anxiety amongst the students and their parents. They have raised a protest against this intolerable increase. The college has also announced that no fee installments would be given to students.

According to situation in Pakistan, if Kinnaird College has increased their dues of classes i think it is not a big issue. But rate of increasing fees too much. It will create bad effect for college in Student Market.
The rate of increase is very high as there are many students who have other siblings in the same college or at any other institute.It is almost impossible for families belonging to middle class to pay 35,000/semester(Arts) and Rs. 65,000 (professional degrees).
Can someone verify this? Sounds like a rumor; maybe 5 or 10%, but 50%?!!
