I am not denying the fact that inflation has forced many to commit suicide and come out on roads, but there is a huge population that has found "Begging" an easier way out. There are gangs of these beggars with proper planning and novel ideas of playing with human emotions to give money without thinking twice.
Interestingly, today morning, I was passing near the Main Market (Lahore) and I saw a lady with a small baby in her arms. The baby's head was injured (or so it seems) and there was red colour on his head (like blood). I distictly remember seeing that same lady there almost 2 weeks back with the baby's condition exactly the same. She was begging then with the baby in her arms and so she was today, with absolutely no difference (better or worse) in the condition of the boy.
Now I have just quoted this, I have absolutely no clue (did not talk to her) if there is some critical injury that cannot be healed or is it just a gimmick to get money.
So the point being, many of these are just begging because they have opted it as a chosen profession. There could be those who have no choice but to beg, but I think the one who is ready to commit suicide and is not into the habbit of begging, would just commit it without letting the world know that I am going to committing it now.

When a person thinks to attempt suicide he must be thinking of his kids who will be left all alone..This feeling can take him out in public so if some can adapt his kids..

Pakistan has spent 30 billion rupees on Condom providing on subsidized rates..why did they not setup 20 factories with that money so people can get employment? Only we are makign hue and cry on over population..India and China are succefully using Human resource for their prosperity..
Nothing can be worst than poverty. May God prevent all of us from being in that state.
Having said that - I find the father 'horrible'. What kind of 'job' is he looking for that he cant find it? He cant do 'anything'? He may not find 'enough' for his chiuldren but is he so desperate that he is ready to sell his children? I know I am being totally oblivious to the actual situation but I dont find it right too...

When a person doesnt find any way then he tries to attract attention of people so may be some one can help him out..If no one will then he will try to escape from his liabilities by suicide...
POSTMAN; what he should do?? Two days back, a security guard of a security company committed suicide becasue he was under debt and was unabel to pay..his salary was 6000 rupees. If this illitrate person finds a wathcman duty , will he be able to earn enough to feed his kids??? We dont knwo how much pain he is sufferign with..May be he is in debt and what he earns goes to his debt payments.

That doesn't mean you abandon your children like that! That also doesn't make it pardonable! You should not try to find excuses for ppl as weak and pathetic in the head as that!
Suicide is the coward's way out and if they opt for it, well hell let them. They don't deserve to live anyways for being such weaklings!

Kids are a responsibility and they should be taken seriously ye nahi k bazaar main ja k rakh do inhain. Are they an animal's offsprings? How dare he make them look so pathetic? How dare he!

of all the menial professions, "boot polishing" is the most easy one.(inexpensive as well)....i m hating myself for typing this down( coz of cognitive dissonance) ...but this guy can acquire a brush n kiwi polish n sit near court or somewhere....even the kids can help...he can even branch out into cobblering...better than begging at the very least...

mianjee bachay baichne se behtar hai...aur 250 main ye 4 log 2 time anda aur tanur ki roti kha saktay hain....roti rs 5..5 bando k liye 2 bar main 50 rupees ki roti ho gayi...aur anday ka rate mujhe nai pata...wo bhi itna he ho ga....100 rupees main boht mushkil se guzara ho he jaye ga....zinda bhi rahain gay aur aik dosray k pass bhi....
aur ab aap kahain gay k roz roz aik cheez nai khayi ja sakti...tu namak mirch wale tamatar or piyaz baray mazay k hotay hain...wo bhi afford kar lay ga,ye jin ka bacha

Please concentrate on the plight of the poor...Instead of being critical..No one comes ahead to sell his part of body..He is not here to be a point of discussion but to show the cruelity of time...

Forget the condoms; why did this guy, knowing his situation quite well, bring 3 kids into this world? It's unconscionable. Why should I feel sorry for those kids if the father doesn't?
Because Khalifah, there is no fault of theirs if the father was not in his senses. Just like Islam, why should one person bear the burden of the other's deeds. If these poor kids actually get nothing to eat and will die of hunger, who will be responsible. I think the whole community, the government, and the system is also to be blamed, not just the father.

Agreed Govt. is responsible for the lavishness and not pro-poor focussed approach. Who on earth sells his kids?! This is NOT the approach! This is wrong upbringing of children! Is he the only poor one here? Why dont others sell their children..

He is not out to sell his kids and i think he will no be able to do so if even a buyer comes. It is a symbolic protest.
I remember, in 1998 we protested against unemployment with degrees pasted at chest. Clerks are on protest with no shirt..Dont they afford a shirt?? they do but it is just a symbolic protest to show the intensity of inflation. Protest seeks attention and people adopt newer way to highlight their problems.

These children are sold and there buyers either make them beggers or use them as child labour or may be slaves.
