The eBanking Conference, organized by Total Communications and supported by KalSoft in collaboration with the PSEB, P@SHA, Wincor Nixdorf, Paybox, Arwentech, Nortel Pakistan and the Government of Sindh. The conference presented case studies and dialogue on how far the Banking Sector in Pakistan has come with the integration of technology and new media.
Mobile and eBanking heralds a new era for the Pakistani banking sector as such conferences play a pivotal role in developing the communication and technology sectors by employing new and innovative technologies in all its facets. The conference was attended by more than two hundred people including the senior management of the major technology companies and banks.
Khurram H. Kalia, CEO KalSoft, commented, “This is the 6th consecutive eBanking Conference, which shows how much growth there has been in the financial sector and the critical role that technology has to play in it. The eBanking initiatives, started by the State Bank of Pakistan, are very significant step in enhancing the country’s progressive banking sector and will be pivotal for growth of the industry.”
The conference consisted of several speakers including Adil Shabbir, CEO M-Net, Urgur Kilic, Wincor-Nixdorf Germany, Barrister Zahid Jamil, PASHA President, Ms Jehan Ara, Talib Baloch from the PSEB. The speakers elaborated on topics such as eBanking channels, challenges and emerging trends in customer service.
Events such as the International eBanking Conference play a critical role in communicating the developments of Pakistan’s growing industries to an international audience. Developments across platforms that enable eBanking and mobile banking serve as stepping-stones for further developments in the industry and will lead to further developments aiding competitive markets throughout Pakistan.
