Is it safe to travel like this?

Is it safe to travel like this?

Sunni Muslims cling to a packed train as they return home from an annual religious congregation attended by hundreds of thousands of people in Multan, Pakistan, on 2 November 2008.

Not safe but I don't mind as long as they pay charges to sinking Pak-railways :op

Most amazing image. Love it. Quite a reflection of our culture.

If I were to make an album of images to show what Pakistan was all about, this would definitely be somewhere there. Thinking about doing just that nowadays too.

One of the best photo I have seen.

@ Iola:

Keeping in view your photographical desire, I am sure you have gone thru the image briefly.

Zoom in the photo. Focus on the nose of the train & start from right. There is a man in blue, then there is a man facing the train and wearing a black bag around the shoulders, then there is a man who is hardly able to grab the train in camel shalwar suit. Right after this guy you can easily spot something most probably a human being who is almost hanging in the air & I am unable to understand how he has managed to do such horrific stunt?

It is the impact that counts and not the tiny details where I am concerned but that is an interesting observation you have made. I am sure that there are many more such characters. You have one big opportunity to think about each one of them and try to unveil the scientific technique applied in each case. :)

Hmmmmm...

My two cents...What I see in this picture is that we have too many God damn people in Pakistan and not enough trains

and you stopped winking. :p

Cross eyed after looking at the pic as closely as la stranger

aur Allah ki madad a pohanchi :)

Stranger things have happened

Thank you anyways. :)

'Zee Waqar' what a beautiful and meaningful name it is :)

Thanks for the compliments...

Its safe man they must enjoying that train ride. I traveled like that myself once on the top of Mini bus because it was hot and inside the buss all seats were filled and it was fun in summer

It seems like they're posing for the picture. It does not look safe. I have traveled in train when I was a little girl but had never seen anyting like this. Population has grown in Pakistan.

Saira: Population has grown in Pakistan.

Na, population of Sunni muslims has grown in Multan.

Its not safe but people like Shah Rukh Khan even dance on the train and sing chal chayan chayan chayan.......  and they must be enjoying. If the Mini bus driver do that they can get a CHALAN but no traffic laws are there for something like that on trains.

Babarzm, I think overall population in Pakistan has grown tremedously. People do not believe in "bachay dou hi achay". Specially the mullahs.

Taimurr77, You sat on top of the Mini bus... Didn't you? Did the driver get CHALLAN?

Yes i did but the driver didn't get a chalan and sometimes traffic police catches them and they do get a chalan.
