i wondered why the indian troops were not beating the person...but then i saw the reporter...of course, the image of incredible india should not be tarnished...not THAT blatantly...as far as the protesting person is concerned, can be picked anytime frm his/her home...n it wont take much time to turn him into another (ever-increasing)statistic

You are confusing two separate issues Mianjee.

1) Atrocities of Indian forces in Indian Kashmir &

2) Does majority population support separatist cause.

The high turnout is an indication that majority does not support separatists & hence keeping the democratic values in forefront, technically, it is not an occupation.

Having said that, there is no justification for brutal atrocities of Indian forces in Kashmir.

It is occupation i have no doubt in my mind. Why are you posing the question that isn't it occupation i think you should pose the question how kashmiris should get rid of indian occupied forces.

If Kashmiris don't consider this as an occupation then what can we do?

it is ur assumption babar..if they dont consider it occupation then why they held million marches previous month against India

Babar, which "Kashmiris" are you referring to here? The majority of Kashmiris (AND this includes Pakistan Occupied Kashmir) want independence or to become a part of Pakistan. There are very few Kashmiri's like me who believe that Kashmir is better off becoming a part of India

I hope you are right Mianjee & if this is the case than Indian government has played their cards quite well. Global community will not dig in any deeper than what they see on BBC & CNN. Hurriat will have to come up with a good strategy to counter Indian "drama", i.e. if they want more global support.
