"I love Pakistan, have done so throughout my life, and will love it forever.

Pakistan belongs to its people and not to the bunch of rotten corrupt politicians that have come and gone. Pakistan has been resilient enough to withstand the onslaught of corruption year after year for 60 years running, watching one tyrant after another make his own heaven on earth, even then my country withstood the onslaught and continued to serve its people. After a 60 year struggle it seems to be a little battle worn and tired and its now time for true Pakistanis like us, to stand up and give our nation a helping hand. It does not ask for much, just simply your love for the nation and maybe a good ruler at the helm of the ship and the courage to stand up and boldly say, I LOVE PAKISTAN very soon we shall see our efforts bear fruit and the new rising sun will take Pakistan into the skies like never before
Believe in Pakistan like never before and boldly say Pakistan Zindabad"

"We have been through numerous ups and downs ever since we won our freedom. The misfortune that our country is going through today is our own creation, directly or indirectly we are responsible for it. But if only one person starts doing one constructive thing for this country, it will soon be heaven. This country has given us an identity and if we lose this identity we are just like a bubble flying on the gushing water. We have been through tough times in the past and we managed to get through them and today when the whole nation is caught in the shackles of dictatorship there is still hope left for us. We are nothing without this country, for this is our future. The seeds of time will grow into a bright future for us, Inshallah. Good idea to reinvigorate the sleeping patriotism in us ;) Thanks!

yeah i luv ma country itz ma lyfe n itz dah country which haD gone thru manY hardshipZ buT stiLL sTandinG upRighT.........no mattar wht i luv ma land @ ne coST!!!!!!!!!

Well this is the right time:

This is the right time to initiate these ideas. As a matter of fact Love for Pakistan is still alive in hearts & souls but it needs some energy, a little push can make the difference.

I am so enthusiastic & have high hopes that "Buzzvines Team” is going to make a big change.

Good luck guys.
"Keep Loving Pakistan"

I love this country because the people of this country are loving, affactionate and love each other. Only in recent thirty years with the funding of Saudi Arabia and USA and help from a disgruntled General Zia, there is one group 'Wahabi - Salafi) creaetd to defeat Russia. This group has brought a bad name to this beatiful country. Unfortunately, most of this group belong to Pathan clan, and I further suggest that Pakistan should give the province of NWFP to Afghanistan because the real Pakistan is too good.

Thanks for tagging me and YES, WE DO LOVE PAKISTAN

I strongly disagree with the title of this whole thing, portal, movement,,whatever you want to call it...

It should be just plainly "I Love Pakistan"... What on earth do you mean by "I STILL love Pakistan",,its like Pakistan did something nasty,,or disgusting... and you are forgiving it..
and still condescendingly accepting it in you loving arms... ..!! talk abt stupidity..!

While the idea in general is good,,but the title dude,honestly..who thick are you !??,,,Indians must just love it...I am sure..!!

Whoever came up with this title had his brains on vacation it seems...

Well, I think there is nothing bad with the name. A lot of people that I know have actually starting (I would not say hating Pakistan) avoiding being called a Pakistani, especially abroad. And it's a good effort to motivate that that no matter what, we still love Pakistan and we should not be achamed of the fact that we are Pakistanis.
Please stop complaining about the headline, focus on the sincere and good cause behind it. Don't make an issue out of a non-issue.
Pakistan Zindabad.

?? ???
Yes i love Pakistan
??? ??? ?? ??? ?? ??? ????
????? ????? ????? ?? ???

@ ordinary citizen.
While I am wholeheartedly supporting the idea, but am also suggesting an improvement. Surely thats not a non-issue but constructive criticism.

When u start an forum like this with international exposure. You need to be carefully to the smallest details least you end up making a fool of yourself and the community/country you hope to benefit with your effort.

Hence it is essential that the title should be carefully and logically thought over and not just somebody's random whim.
In this case the title does not reflect well on the maturity of the portal management.

Thanks admin for the invitation.

Well Loving Pakistan is not something that can be said that we don't, in fact I can't stop loving Pakistan. If asked why I do so, that makes sense. It's what a place, which gave you everything lets you fall in love with it.

Pakistan Paainda-bad!

You Love Pakistan. OK.
But
WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR PAKISTAN????????.

.
.
..Every person is Trying to justify that he love Pakistan, and How he love...etc.
.
Now its Turn and Time to Think every person that what WE can do for Pakistan. It is a main consideration to account for by us to justify.
.
.
(it's my Request to Admin. that they should Post this Question to get answer by our PAKISTANI Lovers.)

I love Pakistan which is written in my heart and also on my blog since long.
Why i love Pakistan? Because it was created as a result of the slogan "Pakistan ka matlab kiya? La ilaha il-Allah". Our family chose Pakistan to be our country and migrated from India and Middle East during 1947. Now, if I go and settle in any other country, for a century or may be for many centuries my children, grand-childern and their children will be known as of Pakistani origin then why not remain a Pakistani?

I agree with UFO1 that the name of this movement should’ve been “I Love Pakistan.” But it is also a fact that 60 years after attaining independence we have still not fulfilled the expectations of the founders of the nation. MA Jinnah wanted a democratic, secular and progressive Pakistan where Muslims constitute a majority of population and have a privileged socioeconomic position but the rights of minorities are also protected and where all citizens are equal irrespective of their caste, creed and religion.

But today we find ourselves in the eye of a storm. Our politicians, bureaucracy and military has failed us. For most of our history and even today we are governed by a politico-bureaucratic-military oligarchy which is unrepresentative, unaccountable and least responsive to the wishes and aspirations of the people of Pakistan.

There is a need to set our priorities right. We are either obsessed with the role of Islam in politics and society or follow an India-centric policy. We spend more on our defense than on socioeconomic development and education. Religious extremism and inter-provincial disharmony is increasing. We must realize that Pakistan is not a unitary state it is a federation of many ethnic and linguistic groups. We should not take them for granted. We have multiple identities. We are Muslims, Pakistani and also Punjabi, Pathan, Sindhi and Balochi. To remove the grievances and resentment of smaller provinces we need to stick to the letter and spirit of the Constitution and the principles of parliamentary democracy and federalism as enshrined in the Constitution.

Good thing is that we now have an assertive judiciary and privately owned TV channels. They can develop into two strong pillars of Pakistan in the form of an independent judiciary and a free media. Pakistan is also flourishing economically and our GDP growth rate of 7% is a testimony to this fact. But along with these positive developments we are also facing a number of problems. As I mentioned earlier we need to have a democratic and representative government which reflects the aspiration of people of Pakistan and which is transparent, accountable and responsive. We also need to establish the rule of law and curb corruption, nepotism and the practice of bribery. And finally we need to focus more on socioeconomic development, economic disparity between rich and poor classes and allocating more funds to education sector.

No, I don't. There is just too much prejudice particularly religious prejudice in Pakistan. The only group that is really successful in Pakistan are Mullahs. So good luck to them and their followers.

PS: and for those who consider themselves liberals...how many times have you participated in a demonstration against religious prejudice and for religious equality...in a country where there are demonstrations every day for silliest of things?

No, I don't love this country at all! It's full of crap and violence! Pathetic failed nation!

I am assuming this question was asked with the best of intentions. But it really saddens me when you use the word "still". Anyways, today we sit on the dawn of a new era, some people may agree and some may not, but its my personal feeling. 5 years back people didn't talk about such issues discussed as are on this blog (pay it forward). We as the young of this society will decide our own fate "IF" we are not stopped by hook and crook which of course you can see with your own eyes.

For the last 60 years, there were never at least 1~2 democratic terms in this country. In lieu of that, you'd be surprised how far we have come.

to the above comment: just because your mom dumped you in a septic tank, the same goes for your comment about pakistan, that is if you're pakistani; and if you're not, then why bothering reply, just live your pathetic life of a troll.

Adnan Siddiqi

"Just like you don't need any reason to love your Mom ,…. "

Really? The fact that your mom carried you inside for 9 months, gave you birth, nurtured you when you were a baby and to this point… is no reason? You are not very bright, aren’t you?

Hey lovers……
Love means giving, sacrificing. May I have the honor to ask what have u guys done so far for your LOVE OF LIFE i.e., Pakistan? Anything……anything you’d like to mention: even the smallest gesture….

I love Pakistan because it was created as an "Islamic Republic" and has survived many threats for over half a century without a significant loss. I wish & pray that Pakistan becomes an example for other Muslim countries for times to come.

Oh Yaar Pakistan Studies hum ne bhi parhi hay.......By the way dont you consider separation of former East Pakistan i.e., Bangladesh, as a loss?

SORRY TO SAY :
I think this buzz is nothing but a crap. What exactly do you want to know by asking whether there is still LOVE surviving in the Pakistani hearts? Does it really matter to you when they tell you " Oh we do love Pakistan, Dil dil Pakistan, jaan jaan Pakistan" etc, etc?

It does matter to me. I would like to see the whole nation speaking out-loud that we all love Pakistan and we would not let go, no matter what.

I would like to know that we are ready not just to rant about our individual issues, but to collectively resolve the problems, each of us faces.

I would like to see all of us individually making a little bit of an effort to bring a positive change, may it only be the thought that I shall not throw a wrapper of a one rupee toffee on the street.

I would like to see us holding ourselves individually accountable for what we do that we shouldn't and what we don't do that we should.

I would like to see us standing together for our rights as a nation.

But for all of the above, I have to know if we love Pakistan and if our spirits are still high n alive. You may not agree, but only by saying that I love Pakistan, I really get the feeling of how much this country means to me.

I think UFO and Alien are the best........pls do bother to reply...

@UFO: what I meant to say "Unconditional Love" which I think couldn't comprehend at all. :)

Love for ones country is natural. No one can question it and i have reservations over the heading of this blog. If it is ruled by Musharraf so what, he belongs to this country. Without our support no one can dare us rule, he rules us because our representatives voted for him. There is no second thought about PML Q, MQM and MMA being our brothers and have a considerable support from our nation. My point will be proved when representatives of these parties win elections again and then no one would be able to say Musharraf is ruling u, we will then say we rule our selves.
Bangladesh is independent so what, we are not sorry about it. If our Muslim Bengali brothers are happy independent we dont have any objections. And its all media which call us the killers of our brothers in Bangladesh. I dont believe in the lies of media. I love my Pakistan.
Bugti was on wrong track so our Army killed him. He was an ex-governer does not mean he is above the law. If by his fathers vote and not the peoples votes, Balochistan was included into pakistan does not mean he was the representative of the people of Balochistan.
People in Waziristan are also not acting according to the state policy so they face the music then. They were turned into hereoes by our ISI, they could not have won afghan war had they not have our support and training from Pakistan Army. Now when the state is asking them to forget about their Jihad and be the peaceful citizens of this country why the hell cant they understand it. Ghazi Abdur Rahseed was overpowered by the state of Pakistan. He thought Pakistan to be a banana state and did not knew our power.
We love pakistan, because pakistan has given us everything. Only for the people of Bangladesh, Waziristan and Bugtis, i cant start hating my country. i have everything. i have education. i have security. facilities why shall i complain. i love pakistan ?

I LOVE Pakistan because it's my identity. Everywhere I go, I will ALWAYS be recognized as Pakistani - and am damn proud of it. Sure, the people who've ruled my country have left no stone unturned in ruining it for their personal gain but that does not change what Pakistan stands for, why we fought for it - that will always remain the same. And that is always why I'll always love Pakistan.

hum apny ghar say pyar ku kerty hain bcz ager woh nahi tou hum nahi.... home give us security and home is nothing without home land..

WE LOVE PAKISTAN

We need to have consensus that We do love Pakistan, and we need Pakistan more than Pakistan needs us. We should remember that freedom is one of the best and most precious blessings of Allah (swt) and nations who do not appreciate it, remain only in the pages of history books. Also, if we love Pakistan we should prove it by loving our countrymen just as we love our siblings.

Why Do I Love Pakistan ??????

First of all, the main reason for all the pakistanis, to love the country is that we all born here in this country...

I love pakistan because I have a FREEDOM here in all aspects.

Long Live Pakistan !!!

Reply to Faiza Bhutt:

Musharraf does belongs to Pakistan but he has no right to rule us because he is holding the office of Chief of Army Staff. Constitutionally speaking even if he sheds off his uniform now he will have to wait for two years before he can contest the election for the president. Military is supposed to protect our borders. It has no right to rule us. The right of governance belongs to the elected representatives of the people. And those representatives should be elected in a free and fair election not in a state-managed, ISI-influenced ballots. It is naïve to assume that Musharraf and PML Q has the support of the people. It is authoritarianism at its worst. Democracy is a representative, responsible, accountable and responsive form of government. Does Musharraf’s illegitimate regime reflects the wishes and aspirations of people of Pakistan? The people of Pakistan don’t want a puppet of Bush at the helm of affairs in Pakistan. The people of Pakistan don’t support the military operations in Balochistan and tribal areas. The people of Pakistan don’t want the massacre of Karachiites when CJP went there to address Karachi bar council.

If Bugti was on wrong track he should’ve been allowed the due process of law. People of tribal areas used to our freedom fighters who liberated Afghanistan from the clutches of Soviet Union. “People in Waziristan are also not acting according to the state policy.” Do we have a state policy? What is our state policy? Dancing to the tunes of imperialists. Is this what you call state policy?

There are miscreants and militants in our tribal areas. But indiscriminate bombings of mosques and madrassahs is not the solution. This way every militant you kill produces ten more militants. Tribal areas and Balochistan are the most backward and economically deprived areas of Pakistan. And they are not responsible for their backwardness. It is the government of Pakistan and our politico-military-bureaucratic oligarchy which failed to develop these areas 60 years after achieving independence.

The proper way to curb the menace of religious extremism and militancy is socioeconomic development and emphasis on education. We need to adopt a long term strategy. And in the meantime we must engage the extremists to isolate the miscreants and terrorists.

When a thing is in your blood and bones, you naturally love it.

Who do you think, should be the next Prime minister of Pakistan? We are conducting a poll at our site The Pakistani Spectator. Please have your say.

I totally agree with Nauman. There have to be alternate ways of putting an end to the unlawful extreme measures adopted by religious communities. The need is to find the cause behind the action rather than reacting without keeping in mind the possible results.

The stance that many people take is that what can the government do and its not just the government's responsibility. I say WHY NOT. If they have dared to take the wheel of the machinery in their hands by asking people to vote for them, then the total responsibility lies with them. Otherwise, they should step down the golden chair they so lavishly enjoy, and let someone else take the charge. Truth is, if we all individually start realizing the heavy burden of responsibility that comes with the unquestionable power, we would not see people dying to be elected as MNAs, MPAs and Nazims. The dilemma of our country is that the power hungry civil servants (politicians) don't have the urge to serve the country and the civilians (ordinary people) like myself don't realize that it is their RESPONSIBILITY. We start defending them, as we see the situation getting out of control. It's high time that we take control of ourselves and decide wisely who we want to vote for, come these elections.

Pakistan Zindabad !

whatever happens in this country remember one thing it’s the country which has given us recognition, it’s our home for which our forefathers has given sacrifices of their lives. they wanted to see their next generations to live freely. There is no perfect country in this world so as our country.

what I think the generation which is in 50+ (90% of them) are actually responsible for this situation of the country ‘STILL’. In their times they have done everything to destroy the country. They were the people who set the standards of the corruption in every department of life and now it becomes routine of our life….

now I think our generation which is between 20 to 50 has opened up their eyes and realizing the damage done to this country by our previous generation and there is a great hope this generation will bring revolution in this country and things will change….

may God bless our country..........

OK, here is a test for everyone here claiming to love their country so much.

Here are some Pakistanis who need your help; http://tinyurl.com/2g8jl4

The catch is...the victims are Pakistanis Christians, while perpetrators are Pakistan Muslims (most likely Sunni).

What say you all about this? If you condemn this act, what about the underlying mentality; the Mullaiat, do you condemn it too?

15th august is a very special day for me its better than 14th august because 15 is more than 14 and i like 15 more than 14 and because i like 15 i hate 14...its really complicated so just leave it ... actually there should be no 14 because people go crazy at 14 but it's really quiet at 15 so 15 is better than 14... conclusion and the moral of my story is 'celebrate 15 instead of 14 it will be really fun and no one would get hurt ..this is 91.7FM logging off... have a bad 14th and a nice 15th...because guns dont kill people 14th does.'

@ UFO

Do you have any idea what you are talking about here?

What most people are talking about here has nothing to do with the number 14.....its the 14th of August that has value for the Pakistanis (at least supposed to have value) for this is the day we got independence.....!

All the days of the month are the same for most of us...its the events that happen on a specific day that make that particular special day any special or specific in any sense...!

Long live Pakistan.....!

i dont know what is wrong with you ufo its 14th august today i know that pakistan is no longer the same pakistan as our quaid-e-azam left it, his vision and his dream to have a country which is free from any corruption has been shattered and these Politician specially that musharaf and his chamchay...huuuu.... anyways lets not get personal and enjoy this day and hope to see a new pakistan in the future...

I have been thinking of commenting on this buzz for many days....and have visited this buzz almost everyday. I am very happy to see so many users comment here and express their love for the country.....!

The reason why I have not been able to comment here earlier is that I have been struggling and thinking if it is better to love a country or to respect a country...or if loving and respecting is the same....??? I mean do we always respect the people we love and vice versa....?? I think we do....!

Very often we claim our love for some one or something without realizing that LOVE means much more than just words......much more than just the expression of sentiments....at the very least it asks for respect...it asks for faithfulness.....it asks for sincerity....it asks for selfless devotion....it asks for sacrifice......all of us here and anywhere else would definitely claim to LOVE our dear Pakistan...but do we fit in the criteria for LOVE.....!!

I am sure we do not dare to treat our very dear ones the way we treat Pakistan.... we'll be abandoned by our friends and other close ones if we treated them this way.....and I am sure Pakistan is not very pleased with us either....!

This is high time for us to look within ourselves and see if we can LOVE Pakistan with the true meaning of the word LOVE....!

How about bringing a good name to the country in the next years to come...!

LONG LIVE PAKISTAN....!

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO ALL ..!

Hello,

My programme World Have Your Say is having a debate about the legacy of Partition. We want to hear from people like you about your country - 1 mintue telling us the good of Pakistan. Please please get in touch! Email me and i will call you back. We are on TONIGHT at 10pm (pakistan time)

@fallen angel

agreed with u! yes love and respect root out from the spirit of patriotism....its the vision that a hard working man once saw....its a dream or a distant hum that a poet once heard. Its reality today...interms of creation...beyond that...is a nation that failed to recognize that dream and that hum...to take it beyond....but like a famous saying goes:

"the dream of one nation is the reality of the other..."

hope keeps us n the spirt within us ALIVE....I dont care or want to fall into a debate with others upon whoz right n whoz wrong....I have all my hopes that ONE day....ONE day (no matter if we live to see itor not!)......we would rise upto the dream and the hums of those visionary men....and if ONLY I have such hopes....it doesnt really matter...because every ocean once started with a drop!

Long Live Pakistan!

Thanks Varicella

For the perfect word....PATRIOTISM....is the right term......this is what we are deprived of and all other setiments of love, respect, faithfullness and devotion spring out from it.....!

Its not about love, I suppoose rather How patriotic we are thats the question.....!!

Sure we all love PAKISTAN but plz dont forget to our heroes

YES! I still love Pakistan!
There are troubles here and there with some "Pakistanis" but don't get me wrong, it doesn't mean I don't love Pakistan, I am here, living freely just because of Pakistan!
So, LONG LIVE PAKISTAN!

Love really is blind if all of you love Pakistan. Care to tell me what Pakistan has done for you that another country could not have done better?
Ask not what you can do for your country; ask what your country can do for you.
And if it can do nothing for you, then remember, God's world is vast so travel through it.

Love doesn't need a reason. So I love Pakistan without any reason. I will love Pakistan forever.

Long Live Pakistan

Why I love Pakistan?. After thinking alot but I think we never give any reason to love Pakistan. Instead of any reason, we have by birth relation with Pakistan, like our relation with our mother, father, brothers and sisters which never need to have any reason to love them. But we always love them with our heart and soul. Just like this I love my Pakistan with my heart and soul and I dont have any reason to share with anyone. Pakistan Zinda Bad.
