The Pakistan Cricket Board has suspended bowler Mohammad Asif after he tested positive for a banned substance in an Indian Premier League (IPL) game.
"In line with our anti-doping policy, we have suspended Mohammad Asif with immediate effect," said PCB chief operating officer Shafqat Naghmi.
Asif has asked for his 'B' sample to be tested and is awaiting the results.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has dropped the paceman from the list of probables for the Champions Trophy and, if the positive result is upheld, the 25-year-old could face a ban from future IPL seasons.

What "image" are we talking about now Sporty? The image of Pakistan AROUND the world is that of a failed state with no law, no civil rights and lots of corruption; Asif is the least of Pakistan's worries
