Good And Bad News!

I have a good news and a bad news, which one you want to hear first? Good one?! okay.... Umar Gul, who missed the first test due to back injury, is fit for the second test at Kolkata. "Gul will be available for the selection", said the officials. However, Shoaib Akhtar has been taken to the hospital as he was suffering from fever and got realy tired after arriving at Kolkata from Delhi. However, he isn't expected to stay more than a couple of days and the management is confident he will recover in time for the Test (I hope, he does recover!). Gul is likely to replace Sami as he was expensive and wicket less last week.

Well! He has now been discharged from the hospital after recovering from the chest infection and fever. However, the other injury concerns include Shoaib Malik, who was suffering from an ankle injury sustained while playing foot ball after
the Delhi Test. He sat out of
a practice session on Wednesday. Umar Hul is likely to replace Sami in the second test. Asif, who pulled out of the India tour at the last minute, is also recovering from his elbow injury.
"If something can go wrong, it will go wrong". Umar Gul broke down again while training and will be sent home ahead of the secong test against India at Kolkata. Participation of Shoaib Akhtar is uncertain too.
