A poor guy is in real trouble!
A christian guy modelled for the Telenor company portraying as a Pilgrim/ haji. He is wearing the white dress/ ehraam and is modelling in the ad featuring facilities of the said telecommunication company being offered for pilgrims in Saudi Arabia.
Already there is a furore in Urdu press which is known to be sensationalist. The guy has asked for protection from police. I really really fear for this guys life. Knowing the nutcases we pakistanis are, and the hatred that we exhibit for non-muslims, this guy is in serious trouble.

I wonder why these people are so furious i mean things like these have been done in past by non muslim when they are showed to offer prayers and other rituals in movies and dramas
that's strange. he looked very decent in the whole ad. And muslims are playing hindus and christians in the dramas and films very successfully. Did anyone criticize them?
You are very right. In many many films Hindu play roles of Muslims, similarly Muslim play role of Hindus and christian. None never raised the point. But here matter is sensitive, and if there is any responsibility that goes to TELENOR.
Alas this guy embrace Islam, he look really innocent. I suggest, fund raising to help him financially. I donate Rs.10,000/- also I invite Telenor to join in fund raising and contact him for embracing Islam.

Why do we muslims accuse christian priests of of foul play when poor muslims are offered money to convert to chrisitianity?
Its very true Christian Missionaries do offer financial aid, garments and foodstuff and medical help to poor and deprived peoples for conversion. Go and see in Africa large number of poor peoples are being converted in this way.
In my opinion, whoever object this action, should come up and help these deprived and poor people to help them and take them out from their miserable condition Then none will offer them Christianity and they will never convert. .
Also None offered money to any Christian for conversion. We ourselves are begger. Some begging on road and some from Govt. and some from USA ( christians).
It was just humanly suggession, Embracing Islam will save him from life risk/danger which he is facing and seeking protection here and there for nothing he did. Because poor guy appeared in advertisement due to poverty, so we should try to help him financially. Otherwise if you want him die or USA wish to give him political assylum, its welcome.

How about an even more easy way out? make a very strong protest on this absurd of urdu news, tell everyone that this is foolishness, that the christian guy is totally protected under constitution of Pakistan to do whatever he wants including practicing his religion, that minorities will not be harassed and if a crime is committed against any one of them, the 'believers' will be tried in court.
Mr. Postman, none bather to this issue so none participate in this debate. You are just taking out talk from talk. You are there to do awareness job in urdu more efficiently.
