Official launch date of Firefox 3 has been annouced to be 17th of June, 2008 (day after tomorrow that is). Firefox is aiming to make a world record on this day for the Highest Number of Software Downloads In 24 hours.
They are getting sign-ups (pledges) of those who have given a yes to make this all happen and at the moment, the total pledges from across the world have come to 1,254,632 (a big number I must say).
I love Firefox because it is much better than the irritating Internet Explorer and so have already signed-up. If anyone who is reading this is also a Firefox fan, I would say why not help these guys make a World Record and be a part of it.
For those, who have never used Firefox and are (for some odd reason) sticking to Internet Explorer (sucks), just try it out. It has few bugs, never crashes, not a proprietary browser, is supported by Free and Open Source lovers, has a lot more features than IE.
Here is the link.
