Feudalism in Pakistan

Feudalism in Pakistan

The biggest problem in Pakistan is feudalism. This feudal system has made the nation pathetic. We have lost the sense of differentiating between the butcher and the Shepard. The feudal lords have hold on the economy and the politics of the nation

Their influence spans over the bureaucracy, police, and judiciary. Majority of politicians are feudal lords and most of these lords are tyrants. They rule their states with laws that are flouted with impunity. Some use power the way it should be, and some use it the way it could be.

The study shows that a median landlord in Sindh owns 28 acres of land, whereas nearly 80 percent of the share-tenants are landless farmers. In Punjab, tenancies are split more evenly between share and fixed rent contracts. Landlords in Punjab are much smaller than those in Sindh, with a median holding of only seven acres of land, and are more likely to be residing in the same village as their tenants.

Is there a possibility of getting rid of this system ever?

I do not consider this the biggest problem of Pakistan. It is lack of guts that I find Pakistan's biggest problem.

Considering whats going on in and around Pakistan this may not look as relevant today. But it really is a big problem.
