The propaganda of talibanization in karachi is boring it's fruits. MQM was making grounds for these clashes since last 3 months. So now pakhtoon watchmen, security guards and even pakhtoon bus conductors and drivers are being killed.
Timber market karachi where most of the traders are pakhtoon , sat on fire yesterday. Pakhtoons are not only community under fire, Sunni tehreek , JI and even punjabi majority areas are on unrest. Yesterday , Talat Hussain told that in last 3 month 240 people have been killed. 42 killed in last 5 days. In a Tv program Hyder abbas rizvi of MQM put blame on JI. In the city either you can see pakhtoon armed personale or urdu speaking ..i don't know from where JI and punjabies are being dragged in this conflict.

This is not the 1st time when MQM played this wild card of linguistic racism. In start they were against Sindhi and Punjabi community. Then they started against JI and sunni tehreek and now they are after pakhtoons. On Governor sindh's instructions , the rangers and police is a spectator as we saw last day in Raees Amroohi colony and Etihad town.
We can see that the religious wars didnt claimed that high numbers of lives , that high numbers claimed by linguistic clashes, racisim and political extriemism.
PPP sarkar should now keep political compromises aside and strict action should be taken to protect our financial capital.

Well said mianjee its not the right time to fight each other we may have to fight India on borders and its Altaf who is creating all this mess .He is serving the cause of india by fighting with other people living in Karachi. But again Indians are not that stupid that they would attack Pakistan and give the reason to all Pakistan to keep the differences aside and unite against India.

Shame on all of us. We are so bloody racist. Blaming only one party and totally ignoring that many Muhajirs were also killed by JI backed Pathans. What a shame? I am sure that the way we are going Pakistan will seize to exist by 2010.

Babar: what about those mohajirs of karachi who were members of PPP or Sunni Tehreekor JI or Mohajir Qaumi Movement and killed by MQM? ....Mohajir brotherns are in JI majority (naymat ullah khan, nasrullah shujee, mohammed hussain mehnti, laeeq khan, miraj ul hada, naeem ur rehman all are mohajir) , in sunni tehreek all leadership is mohajir( qadri brothers, sarwat qadri etc) , In ppp they have valid representation(Faisal Abdi, ishtiaq baig, ikhtiar baig, sheri rehman etc) ...so there is no point for you to consider MQM the only mohajir representing party. They are killing their own mohajir brotherns by attackign JI, Sunni Tehreek and PPP.
Pathans are our brothers. They are active part of karachi economy. Being a pakistani they have equal rights in whole country. If Pakhtoons will do teh same in peshawar, we will condemn them equally.
babar: i forgot a few names which i found on Ji web page...Professor khursheed( senator and centeral vice president of JI) Munawar Hassan( Gen sec of JI pak) and Prof: Ghaffoor Ahmed(ex-senator and current vice president JI pak) ..all are urdu speaking mohajir....Only qazi and prof. Ibrahim are pakhtoon in main leadership. SO IT MEANS JI IS BACKING MOHAJIRS BY INDUCTING MORE AND MORE MOHAJIRS IN IT'S MAIN LEADERSHIP ?? :)

Apparently all these mohajirs in JI were unable to convince their mohajir followers to get out and cast votes in elections of 2008 i.e. if there really are any mohajir followers.
Secondly JI is a pure terrorist organization be it there student wing - Islami Jamiyat Talaba of Punjab University or their Taliban comrades in NWFP, FATA and now also in Karachi.
Now please don't tell me that Jamiyat is not a terrorist organization & that Taliban are only lost brotherern who have detracted from the path of "true" Islam because than families of those killed by suicide attacks will kill you & Sophi will have to pass over your dead body instead of mine.

Com'on Sophi I am only defending the weak here. I am a jadipushti Punjabi and I very well understand how racism is implanted in us starting at very young age.
All those racist whites who discriminate Arabs and Blacks including calling Palestinians terrorist believe that they are right. They don't accept being racist and justify their hate as "calling spade a spade".
This really is a time for reflection, to find racist with in, and rooting it out of us, forever.
There are always two sides to ethnic violence. Apparently all of us are tunes to look at it from our own biased prospective. This is exactly what happened causing separation of Bangladesh, army only got involved when racial damage was already done by common men and women.

I dont know what type of implantation you have received. I am punjabi too but no one ever told me at home that I am the superior one. We have brought up listening that 'we are Pakistani first'.
My nani says if you see anyone's good quality, it means you are actually having that quality and you keep on searching it in others. Same is the case with you Babar. You have extreme racism in yourself and you keep on searching it in others whether they have it or not. But your this exercise will create some racism in others if they dont have it.

2- for your kind info even founder of JI was a a mohajir(modoodi was from hyder abad daccan and setteled in lahore after migration and he was urdu speaking, out of 32 founder members 23 were mohajirs like amin ahson islahi, yousaf islahi, manzoor naumani etc , the next man to moudoodi, khuram murad was also a mohajir ) so you cant spread racism here by proving mohajirs weak
3-getting majority vote is a standered of people's liking in those societies where election commissions are independent and judiciary is free. Here even peopel like zia and musharaf got 90% vote in refurrendums....in 1993 BB slept after giving statement that elections were unfair because she was losing and in the mornign she had got majority....so the vote of bank of PPP and JI is much more than MQM but teh problem is that these both parties are political and cant do the same which is being done by MQM
Com'on Mianjee. . . you argument may sit well with those who don't live in Lahore. I have spent my entire life in Lahore and have also studied in Punjab University. I personally know people who were torchered by IJT.

haha: my affiliation is so weak that i got punches on my face from them when 4 months earliar in punjab university they were beating a conductor and i interfered. even then i dont think them bad because they are far better than street guys. i could have hate them if my elder brothers was not changed being with them and if i was not a reader of modoodi's books. i think you have not seen islamia uni bahwalpur where ATI was in power and done the things which cant be narrated here, and PSF in multan and MSF in UET and MAO and Dial Singh colleges. I hope you know arshad amin, atif chohdry and others.
