Do the right thing

Do the right thing

If any single period in the turbulent history of Pakistan can be classified as an “all time low”, it certainly is the present state of affairs, which is drifting the country towards further disintegration. Suicide bombings, hunger, poverty and the collapse of the judicial infrastructure are some of the many issues that continue to haunt the people of this nation.

The least the president can do is to announce his resignation after holding free, fair and transparent elections, restoring the judiciary and letting true democracy prevail. This step will eventually lead to greater respect between the civilians and the armed forces.

People like Nelson Mandela, George Washington and Mahatir Mohammad left the stage after doing the right thing despite many people still wanting them to stay on, thus making their memories live on forever. It’s still not too late to do the right thing to save Pakistan.

do the right thing and leave.. why do we always talk about ppl leaving the stage, why is our pride of being a pakistani on an ever time low... Y cant we appreciate ppl even if they do the right thing... democracy has been there in pakistan and every sane knows how we have suffered...

If u wana criticize ppl for wrong doings criticize ppp for being autocratic... last thing u know zardari would become asif ali zardari Bhutto so he can become the prime minister or so....

I dont know about u ppl but I call the present system as democratic as it gets... u hv got free media.. u have capitalist freedoms.... our parliaments have completed their tenure... on and on

Why take side of judges what have they done for our country.... since freedom name their one single standalone accomplishment... it is the single most corrupt most red tapped and most paralized body of our country....

 A note to media....

CHERISH THIS MOMENT for democracy of 1988 - 2001 can come back....

TAIMUR ASGHAR QURESHI.

Yes Musharraf must go in the interest of PAKISTAN.

If its Pakistan 1st and no his greed for power 1st.

ppl here can write english so i presume they are literate.... I may say that it is a mere SHOCK to c literate ppl asking our president to go.. for before making a demand every sane should consider the consequence of what will actually happen if that demand is made.

Lets just say that if our presidents resigns etc what will happen...

  1. Political dictators will come Back
  2. Dakaoites will steal all the money we have conserved
  3. No development in infrastructure whatsoever
  4. the new political gov will fall prey to USA and terrorists will be at their strongest as ppp/pml gov would be weaker than this gov.
  5. regionalism will again prevail
  6. Merit voilated
  7. MEDIA rights would be hampered as PML/PPP would never be patient (HISTORY)
  8. Feudals will come backand ruin everything again

i can go on and on.............

If incase a different gov is to be there a strong check like a strong president is necessary
