The Crowd and Me
submitted 2 months 1 day 22 hours ago by: Iola : 14 commentsStanding aloof
Looking with a sneer
A grimace of humour
The sadness of the worlds
Cynical
At a loss of words
Yet not speechless
Me in the crowd
I shall neva be there

Already there, unless the presence goes unnoticed.

Sometimes I think war is God's way of teaching us geography.
The illusion of a presence
The pun directed inwards!
Childlike are the reprimands
for a self
that hath already been whipped
into a life of bondage
and servitude!
Fly, spread out your wings
Soar through the heavens
Feel the wind
Rest on the shooting stars
You are henceforth free
Watch the world
Look straight, straight in the eyes
Reach out, hold out your hand
Touch, touch the heart
Feel the heart
As it beats alone
As it bleeds alone
Give so you can receive
Give often so you can receive often
Pull away and gleefully glide across the stars
Loving it all
Being loved by all
Savour the moment
Hold on to it
It can last
It should last
It will last
Smile
The waves on the shore
crashing onto the land
whetting the apetite of the parched sands
receding
after the brief sojourn
Grains looking aside foreva
O waves,
Crash again!
Within the sea's bossom
higher and higher they grow
waves upon waves
making a dune
a boulder
a mountain of luminous body
that glows and glitters
even in the shadows
the drops painting diamonds
the waves leaving imprints
changing shape
yet jumping one upon the other
climbing to outreach
hands and speech
the sky smiles
at the ebb and tide
the waves dance on
smile
Drenched!
Under the soothing rays
Running
Expressing
Feeling
Absorbing
Alive!
Wondering if I should
Should I?
Could I attempt to walk on the water itself?
The feeling is exhilarating
The magnetism of the sky
Lifting me upwards
Lifting the spirits
Bursting with energy
Arms spread out
Alive!
Blissfull inside
Content
So I,
Hold myself close to me
and,
Smile
Coming down
the downpour
through the tree tops
ova the trunk
gently touching the leaves
the soil awaits its turn
flabbergasted
and stunned
so miraculous the heavens
the bursting clouds
and from the soil grows
all life
all flowers
vibrant colours
stretching over the skin of the earth
moulding into a thousand forms
spellbound I watch
and smile
Soaking up wisdom
As fast as it pours
The richness of mind
Or the richness of riches
What truly is wealth?
No consent at birth
No consent at death
Yet I feel free
Yet I feel empowered
No control over destiny
No sense of direction
And yet I'm rightfully guided
Whence this laughter
Whence these tears
Who taught me thus
How learnt I to express myself
How to cope with this overwhelming fear
All I can do is look towards the sky
And call, call upon
Call upon whom?
Thus I created God
So that he may yet give me life
So he may yet let me live
At these thoughts
God looked down
And he did
Smile
You are a quick study!
This is much better work :)
:)
Good :)
Told u to wait.
An inkling
of the world
events outta hands
the tentacles
of thoughts
spreading, oozing, curling, unfurling
fingers spanning
the lifespan of decades
the centuries of gains
of losses
bespoken of, in ruins
The world doth witness
that which one hath
that which is no more
so poignant each happening
so alive the earth
so cunning the pattern
so rife the dearth
so shocking, existence
so profound yet again
I am the age of earth
It smiles upon me
in glory and misery
for I am its beacon
its centrefold
I abide in its abode
It lives but through me
and smiles
as each of my fingers
lays on its core
pulsing and pulsating
until
I am no more
O Earth!
Smile upon me
Foreva in your bounties
Your riches and spells
of knowledge
and wisdom
Let your glory be mine
and I shall once more rest with you
content and aglow
to foreva
Smile
Rest?
But man was made to toil
To build and to see it torn down
To plant and to pray for rain
Only to reap devastation
Tis all fun and games?
But who is it that plays?
Building abodes
sometimes for the living
and oft for the dead
In my grave I shall rest
And in my grave shall I
eventually
smile
The rest was in reference to the grave too. :)
You rock :)
