[Lahore] Cisco Systems Pakistan participated at the OIC Telecom & IT Conference, organized by the LCCI on the 23rd of July in Lahore, and in the Corvit Networks-organized Wireless & Security Seminar on the 24th of July, 2008.

Speaking to a large audience at the OIC Conference, Cisco Systems’ Navid Qazi gave an engaging address on "How the Internet is growing" where he talked about the role technology was playing in making the internet expand as fast as it was. At the OIC Telecom & IT expo, Cisco collaborated with Corvit Networks to present a Wireless demo which was greatly appreciated by the participants. The expo was attended by a number of stakeholders from various industries.

Cisco and Corvit Networks collaborated on the 24th July at the Wireless & Security Seminar where a number of Cisco and Corvit professionals talked about Unified Networks, Wireless technologies and Security. The Wireless & Security Seminar attracted a number of mid-market companies which can benefit through the networks and applications which enable them to be mobile. Humayun Akhlaq, Regional Sales Manager Cisco Systems Pakistan commented “Cisco's Security solutions, for example, secure the architectural integrity of a network by embedding itself into the fabric of the network. As long as you have a network, you will ultimately require Cisco products to secure you.”

Dr. Aamir Matin, Country General Manager, Cisco Systems Pakistan, commented that, “These collaborations allow for us to engage in interactive demos with IT heads of many organizations. Our solutions secure the network and allow for more growth and I wish thank OIC and Corvit Networks for providing Cisco with the opportunity to work with them.”
