Blocking the UFOs
submitted 3 months 10 days 20 hours ago by: Admin : 14 commentsI have recently noticed that there have been many instances of UFOs (non-members) making rediculous, irrelevant comments on buzzez. Have also received many complaints with regards to this issue from many of our regular members.
We are thinking of taking some action against this problem and are contemplating blocking comments by non-members. I find it necessary to have all our regular members on board with this decision.
So please give your comments in favour or against this issue and an action will be taken accordingly.

I would rather disagree. Blocking UFOs should not be the only solution to the problem. The rediculous, irrelevant and abusing comments should be blocked regardless of whether they come from UFOs or from any regular member. There should be a strict check and active moderation on UFOs.
We have also noticed that some of these UFOs appeared with mocking ids of our regular members. If you stop UFOs, they would come in disguise and the problem would persist.
Keeping this option as a last resort, you should find some other solution as well.
actually Sophi.. the issue is with anonymous comments.. call them UFO or my twin postman1.
I agree, regular members too break the decorum (I know I am guilty!) but downright abusing others.. na.. am not with that.
that is what I am saying. Compeletly blocking the anonymous comments is not the only solution. There are many visitors who first comment anonymously, then they register themselves. In other case, this forum would be confined into few regular members
and then when someone flags the comments.. you go berserk even then! :p

But if we look at it from the viewpoint of rationale, those who comment without an identity make comments that are spiteful and real dirty owing to just that reason.
Whereva someone is serious about commenting, they wouldn't mind registering and becoming a permanent member.
I am sure buzzvines is not desperate for that!

Yes, I also agreed to blocking the UFOs........And also if a regular user does objectionable comment, he/she should also be treated accordingly.....

I don't think that blocking UFO's would be neccessary though they make very bad comments at times and i my self am a victim of one of those UFOs calling me "SALA PAGAL HAI " but we must look at the postive contribution some unregistered people on buzzvines make and give very useful information which is helpful for everyone.I think the admin should check each and every UFO comment personally before its posted on buzzvines.
i think if someone wants to give his/her voice, he/she must register hisself/herself
